At your desert lodge, a welcoming oasis in this barren land, you can schedule a massage, swim in the outdoor pool or go horseback riding. DAYS 7-8: Spend two days discovering Atacama's natural environment or the sites of pre-Columbian, colonial and contemporary cultures. The Atacama area has the clearest sky in the Southern hemisphere. Join a professional astronomer to look at the constellations, or you may choose to take a sandboard class at the largest dune in Atacama's Death Valley.
