Your guide will meet you later for an evening of Tango: The noche porteña is famous worldwide. Since the end of the XIX century, night life has concentrated in pubs, theatres and cabarets which remained open until sunrise. Some neighborhoods maintain this fervent atmosphere of Buenos Aires. In spite of the international success of Argentinean Tango, few people know its origins. Enjoy a very special Tango show and dinner at one of the city's most traditional tango bars. Before attending the tango-show your guide will brief you on the history, rise, styles and names of our urban music. As an alternative to the show, we invite those in search of “true tango” to participate in real milongas and tango clubs. Sofitel Buenos Aires or Alvear Palace Hotel
Day 4 Buenos Aires Another day at leisure in this gorgeous city to enjoy shopping, sightseeing, dining or simply strolling or even relaxing in your hotel. Sofitel Buenos Aires or Alvear Palace Hotel
Day 5 Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro Today you transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Tonight, dine at Porcao Rio’s for a fabulous Brazilian feast. With its fabulous view of Sugar Loaf, Porcão Rio's is the most popular outpost of a wildly successful chain of first-rate churrascarias. Caesar Park Hotel or Copacabana Palace Hotel
Day 6 Ravishing Rio Your private guide will meet you at your hotel for a full day tour. Famous Sugar Loaf Mountain is reached by cable car and offers breathtaking views of Rio. The journey is done in two stages: firstly, to the top of Urca Hill, where visitors catch the second car to their final destination. From the top, the endless beaches of Rio de Janeiro and Niterói stretch to the horizon.
On top of the 2,329 feet high Corcovado (hunchback) Hill in Rio de Janeiro is one of the world's most famous tourist attractions: the statue of Christ, the Redeemer, with its open arms blessing the whole city. Made of concrete, measuring 121 feet high and weighing 1.145 tons, the statue was inaugurated in 1931 and was built with donations from the Catholic Church. From here you can admire the fantastic combination of beaches, deep blue waters, mountains, forests and urban areas all inter-connected. This may be the best place to understand why Brazilians say that it took God seven days to create the world and he spent five of them on Rio alone! Caesar Park Hotel or Copacabana Palace Hotel
Day 7 Rio at Lesisure Your guide will assist you in customizing your activities today. Please see our Signature Events™ for Rio de Janeiro. This evening, your guide will introduce you to the nightlife that has made Rio famous. You may want to stop at Rio Scenarium—the most original bar in town. The bar is jammed full of bizarre and amazing artifacts from the past including a mannequin of Marilyn Monroe, a British red telephone box and some spectacular 70’s furniture. Packed every night of the week, booking is a must—try to get a table upstairs near the window for a great view of the place, or downstairs for the live bands that play.
