Itinerary
Day 1 : Santiago Arrive in Santiago and get settled into your hotel. This evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 : Santiago With the snow-capped Andes mountains rising majestically behind it, Chile’s capital is a true gem. Today, get to know Santiago on a tour that includes San Cristobal Hill and Museum La Chascona.
Day 3 : Santiago Chile has become known for its wonderful wine-producing region. And today, you will take a tour to a winery in Santa Rita, including a visit to its museum.
Day 4 : Santiago, Valparaiso & Vina del Mar This morning you will set out for the coast. En route to the charming beach resort of Vina del Mar, stop at Valparaiso for a visit to the Fonk Museum and a ride in the city’s famous cable cars. After lunch the rest of the day and evening are yours to enjoy your sea-view room.
Day 5 : Vina del Mar, Santiago & Buenos Aires Today fly out of Santiago bound for the vibrant, exciting city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Once there, head to your hotel room to spend the rest of the day as you please—perhaps doing a little exploring on your own.
Day 6 : Buenos Aires Start your day with a delicious cup of Argentine coffee at the famous Café Toroni. It is just one part of a half-day tour introducing you to the “Paris of the South.”This evening, we have something very special and distinctively Argentine planned—a private tango lesson followed by dinner and a tango show at Piazzolla Tango.
Day 7 : Buenos Aires Today you will really get to know Buenos Aires as you embark on a full-day journey through the city’s various neighborhoods and sights—including a visit to Estancia de la Fortuna, where you be treated to a traditional barbecue lunch featuring famous Argentine beef.
Day 8 : Buenos Aires The nearby city of Tigre sits on an island at the confluence of several rivers and channels. Today, take a boat there to visit the stunning San Isidro Cathedral and have lunch at a local restaurant.This evening, you can explore Buenos Aires’ nightlife on your own.
Day 9 : Buenos Aires After a morning on your own, set out on a fascinating “Evita Tour” visiting landmarks in the life of Argentina’s beloved Eva Perón—which includes a visit to Evita Museum.Tonight, dine at a restaurant located in the charming Porto Madero district.
Day 10 : Buenos Aires & Iguazu Today you will fly to Iguazu, where one of the world’s most magnificent natural sights awaits you—Iguazu Falls.The day in town is yours at leisure, followed by a buffet dinner at the hotel. Your hotel room features a spectacular view of the falls.
Day 11 : Iguazu Embark on an exciting full-day tour of Iguazu Falls. Be dazzled by the thunder of water on both the Brazilian and Argentinean side of the falls, including a boat ride under the falls.Also enjoy a safari tour showcasing the majesty of the jungle canopy, with lunch served within the Brazilian national park.
Day 12 : Rio de Janeiro Wake up and head back to the airport for your flight to one of the most exciting cities on earth—Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Upon arrival, settle into your sea view room at your 5-star hotel. Then, you are off to visit Sugarloaf Mountain for a dazzling overview of Rio.
Day 13 : Rio de Janeiro Another mountain is on today’s itinerary—the famous Corcovado, with its 125-foot Christ the Redeemer statue looming atop. After visiting the mountain, you will enjoy a scenic afternoon schooner cruise in the Guanabara Bay.This evening, a uniquely Brazilian experience—dinner at a local barbeque restaurant followed by a passionate samba show.
Day 14 : Rio de Janeiro Spend half day on a fascinating tour of Portuguese colonial Rio with visits to the National Historical Museum and the Candelaria. Lunch today is at the famous Colombo Teahouse.Then as a special treat for your final afternoon in Rio—a small group of children will perform a wonderful music presentation for your tour group at your hotel. Spend your last evening in Rio as you wish.
Day 15 : Rio de Janeiro Return to the airport for your flight home.
