Itinerary

Day 1: USA / Quito
Begin your holiday with a flight to Quito, a city of perpetual springtime in an exceptional mountain setting. You are welcomed on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Swissotel

Day 2: Quito
A day-long tour presents Quito and the surrounding Andean countryside, from the colonial district; to the panoramas of Panecillo Hill; to the Equator Monument. The thriving local art scene is showcased at the studios of painter Oswaldo Guayasamin and folk artist Olga Fisch. A welcome dinner highlights traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Swissotel (B,L,D)

Days 3-5: Galapagos Islands
Depart the mainland by air to the Galapagos, where you are welcomed aboard your cruise ship. Cast off this afternoon to the first of the varied Galapagos environments featured on your three-night program.

While your specific itinerary depends on your ship selection and seasonal factors, you are certain to enjoy up-close encounters with an abundance of native wildlife which accept your presence and behave completely undisturbed as you see and photograph them up close, often from within arm’s reach. Awaken early each day and enjoy breakfast before transferring to shore to begin exploring another intriguing island environment. In addition to your morning and afternoon hikes and panga excursions, there is time for snorkeling, swimming, and just savoring the rugged volcanic beauty and photo opportunities. Day 6: Galapagos / Quito
