The perfect introduction to the artistic, cultural, and natural diversity that Papua New Guinea offers, this tour begins with two nights in Mt. Hagen to explore the region and enjoy a Mudmen performance. Next travel to Sepik before boarding the three-night Sepik River cruise. This comprehensive cruise explores the Sepik villages and their spectacular haus tambaran spirit houses. Each village along the Sepik sells distinctive tribal goods and artifacts, and many villages welcome visitors by performing a sing sing (traditional dance and musical performance). Continue to Tari in the Southern Highlands, home to the Huli people. Spend three nights at Ambua Lodge, a deluxe wilderness property that serves as your base for visiting the colorful Tari market and Huli Wigmen villages. There will also be guided nature walks through alpine forests that are home to high-altitude orchids, suspension bridges and waterfalls, and over 13 species of Birds of Paradise. From the highlands, you’ll experience the coast. Fly directly to Alotau, where you will be transferred to Milne Bay for three relaxing nights at Tawali Resort.
