Day 1 Fly USA to Papeete

Once you clear customs and immigration, look for your name on the board. Your Tekura Tahiti representative will assist you to the vehicle for your transfer to your overnight hotel.
Papeete, the capital and commercial hub of French Polynesia, hosts the government offices, hospitals, banks, airline and travel agencies, boutiques and black pearl shops. The Central Market (Marché Central) is a must, located 1 block behind the waterfront. You will see traditional Tahitian crafts, flowers, fruits, fish and other produce. The waterfront is attractive, with a tree lined promenade along a marina with an international yachting community
Day 2 Fly Papeete to Bora Bora
Please wait in the hotel lobby area for your transfer to Papeete airport for your flight to Bora Bora. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation by boat.
Bora Bora - Unquestionably the most mythical of the Pacific islands remains the island of all dreams. So much has been written about Bora Bora, and yet it is hard to find the right words to describe the magic that emanates from this island.
Seen from the air, the view has been compared to that of "a tiny emerald in a setting of turquoise, encircled by a sheltering necklace of sparkling pearls". The airport, built by US forces in 1942, is located on a palm fringed motu about 20 minutes by boat from the main village of Vaitape. The view of the main island from the airport is truly breathtaking, and as you travel across the spectacular lagoon you will soon understand why it is the main area of attraction for most visitors.
Days 3-6 At leisure, Bora Bora
There are so many activities in the world's most famous lagoon that some visitors never leave the water! You can snorkel anywhere in the lagoon and swim side by side with turtles and rays. For a faster pace, try parasailing, windsurfing, or jet skiing around the entire island. Explore the lagoon by Boston Whaler power-boat, where up to four people and a guide can skim around the island, hopping out at beaches and tiny motu along the way.
Start each day with an unforgettable breakfast brought to the private balcony of your overwater bungalow by outrigger canoe. Often bedecked in flowers, the canoe carries Polynesian staff serving fresh fruits, pastries, and juices while the surrounding waters welcome the South Pacific sunrise. Canoe breakfasts are also available at many of the resorts throughout all the islands and can be reserved before you travel by your travel arranger or scheduled with the concierge on your arrival.
Even though Bora Bora is small, the adventures along the few interior roads are huge. These overgrown jungle roads wind high above the lagoon to panoramic stops that can only be described as breathtaking. The island's role during World War II is expertly told as you visit large US Naval guns left behind in 1945.
Although the idea of feeding sharks may sound somewhat ominous, it is now one of the most popular excursions in the South Pacific. Originated on Bora Bora, your close encounter begins after you don a snorkeling mask and float in the shallow lagoon waters behind a secure rope. Docile sharks arrive in schools and are hand-fed by your guide just a few feet away. Later in the same tour, you'll stand in shallow waters as graceful rays circle the group with ballet-like movements.
The neon waters of Bora Bora's lagoon have provided a popular anchorage for both round-the-world and vacation sailors for over a century. Whether chartering your own sailboat in Raiatea, Tahiti, or Moorea, the deep, wide pass and dramatic views make Bora Bora a natural stop. From Bora Bora, there are many options for couples or groups with half- and full-day catamaran cruises as well as sunset sails departing from Vaitape.
Because of the abundance of large marine life, diving within the waters of the most beautiful lagoon in the world is on many diver's "must do" list. During the dives, it is common to be joined by legions of gigantic manta rays gliding gracefully within arm's reach while schools of reef sharks parade by.
Bora Bora is world famous for the surprising number of unique and high-end boutiques and for the quality of dozens of fine restaurants with international cuisine.
