Our experience at Sheraton in Tahiti was just so-so and their service level was certainly less than expectation, however, this was overshadowed by the amazing experience at St. Regis. They really went out of their way to provide the best experience! We were upgraded from the private pool beach villa to a premium deluxe over water bungalow at St. Regis. Thank you for your gifts that awaited us in our room and for helping us through this schedule. Our flights were seemless and overall the honeymoon was most memorable.

I wanted to send this note to express to you my gratitude for my recent
travel experience. In November of last year my husband and I were planning
a trip to Hawaii for our first year anniversary vacation in February of
2008. We were considering a cruise or a multi-island trip to Hawaii.
Unfortunately when I started looking on-line for cruises they were either
all booked or the only availability was extremely expensive suites. During
my researching I came across the travelwizard website and made a request for
a call back for information. This was the first time I used a travel agent
and it happened to be the best thing I ever did!
Within 24 hours I received a call from Sara Ruth Baughman and explained to
her my travel desires. She listened thoroughly and explained a number of
options and promised to do some research into Hawaii prices. The next thing
she did was explain another option to me which I would have never considered
on my own. Sara told me about a 10 day cruise in Tahiti at a great price, a
price that actually beat any other prices in Hawaii. She drew a picture in
my mind of a beautifully romantic and exotic vacation to a place I had never
been or really dreamt of but would soon find myself dreaming of it on a
nightly basis until I was finally there with my husband!
Her experience of Tahiti and the cruise line and her ability to comapre the
option to my originally planned Hawaiian trip helped seal a new deal to what
ended up being a much more exotic and once in a lifetime trip. Sara and I
spoke regulary over the next couple of weeks to assure my comfort level
until my husband and I were finally convinced that it was the dream vacation
for our anniversary.
After we purchased the tickets Sara continued to play a major part in our
trip planning by sending us brochures, making suggestions of places to go
and things to do while there, ideas on how to save money and reminders of
things to take. Her experience and enthusiasm quickly made her name a
household topic of conversation for my husband and I - we found ourselves
extremely excited leading up to the trip and full of wonderful
expectations.
The entire trip was all she had us imagine it would be and more! It was
definitely a trip to never be forgotten and she will always hold a special
place in our hearts for making the experience so pleasurable. I couldn't
wait to come home and share pictures with her and we talked enthusiastically
about it afterwards! She made an extreme effort to inform and excite us
before the trip and then share in our pleasure when it was all over. We had
a wondeful time and a lot of it was due to Sara and our wonderful experience
with her.
I would recommend her services to anybody I talk to and defintely plan to
utilize her in the future!!

OOOOOOOOHHH LAAAAAAHH LAAAAAHHH!
HOTEL BORA BORA =Totally Fantastic!
We had dinner with the GM (he cooked a
fantastic Thia chicken meal for us & what we thought would be a couple
of hours turned into a 5 hour great conversations & feasting.... just
the 3 of us!!! I will admit to stumbling home tho from the great wine!
We went on a shark feeding tour and got in the water surrounded by about
25 or 30 black tip reef sharks - did I say surrounded - how 'bout
swirling around us.... it was great!!! We did the same with stingrays &
they were so tame - one actually 'climbed' up the front of me looking
for food! I had to push him back into the water 'cause I had fed
another one my fish!!! (We were standing in neck deep water for these
guys!) It was great fun! We got a video/cd of the whole tour & have
been showing it to our friends/family...
Great fun! We talked to several people in the airport who had stayed in
some of the other hotels around the island (there are now 17 !) and they
may have had nicer accommodations, but no one has the snorkeling & reef
that Hotel Bora Bora has... we swam with turtles, stingrays, eagle rays,
eels, octopus and a uncountable host of other fishes..... all wild...
they have a 'resident' manta ray that comes buy most evenings.... I'll
send you pictures of 'her' .... did I tell you how much we love that
place????
It was as tremendous as we remembered it and with the news of a remodel
pending it will make the most beautiful place on the planet more
'upscale'
I'm excited to go back for our 35th Anniversary!!!

We had a great time.
I was little scared at Tahiti and Moorea because of lizards on ceiling.
At Moorea, I was bitten by mosquitos so badly enough to scraching all day. It was extremely itching.
Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Beautiful water, nice weather, luxurious rooms....
We both really liked the overwater villa at Bora Bora.
The resort upgraded our room to Horizon overwater which was perfect for us.
Since it was off season and resort was huge, it was very quiet and not that many people around, so we were kinda lonely.
Both of us returned with dark, dark skin with definite tan line. It's already starting peeling.
We were very satisfied with all the services, except one.
On the way to Tahiti, the airline gave us the separate seat. They said the plane right before us got broke down, so they had to put passengers from previous plane to ours.
Because of that, my husband and I had to fly separate for almost 9 hours.
Besides that, it was perfect honeymoon and definitely we like to go back soon.

Dear Lidia,
It was a good trip, great weather, the Raddison Tahiti was very nice, everyone was so helpful and pleasant. We arrived in 9 a.m. and they let us go right to the room. Check out was 2p.m but they let us stay till 6:30p.m. when we left for the airport. Very expensive there. But we had a good vacation. Home now to cold weather!!! We are considering taking our whole family on a cruise over Christmas possibly in 2009. Our grankids in their late teens and 20's would love to go where there would be spots to parasail, and all those water activities young people like. There would be about 20 of us. Just starting to do some thinking about this.

The Intercontinental hotel in Papeete was excellent… the room, the food, and the service. Tour was very good.
The Bora Bora Nui was excellent…room, activities, food, service…..a place I would recommend to everyone. In spite of the fact that there were a small number of guests, they provided excellent service, with a really tremendous staff of well trained and attentive people.
The Le Taha’a Private island and Spa was Fantastic!! Again, the room, the service, and the food were all the best. The staff was the best…trained, pleasant, and available.
Overall the tours were good

Again, thanks for your flawless arrangements….the logistics were just tremendous, and you thought of every detail and executed them perfectly. The flights, (loved the helicopter ride!), the transfers, and the tours all happened without flaw, and as a person who travel frequently internationally, I can really appreciate what it takes to make that happen.

Hi Nancy,
We had a wonderful time in Tahiti. We rented a car for 2 of the days and drove around the island and hiked one of the days and the forest was so dense that we didn't get wet. We went bike riding, snorkeling (a lot), swam to our own island and lots of other stuff.
Everything went so smoothly with our flight, pickups and hotel. We were very impressed. Our flight arrive a little early and someone was already there waiting for us.
It was a really great experience and we were very glad that we worked with you. If we would have made all the arrangements ourselves it would have been a disaster. We really appriciate all your help and I will definately refer anyone I can to you.

Hello Patricia!
Wow! We had such a great time! We were blessed with beautiful
weather the entire time.
I have to say, if I were to choose between the two islands we
visited, we loved Moorea more. The landscape was just breathtaking.
Its so hard comparing 2 beautiful places!
Also, the Sofitel in Moorea was amazing. You told me it was
remodeled and boy was it hooked up. The inside of the Bungalo was
gorgeous. Every aspect about it.
The food at the Sofitel was also top notch. Five star for sure.
The restaraunt "Pure", we hated to leave. We ate there every morning
and night.
The Pearl in Bora Bora was nice, though it seemed since it was
the "offseason" , there was only one place to eat. So we hit up
Bloody Marys a bit which was super.
Overall, I just wanted to thank you for making things so easy
and wonderful for us!

I have to tell you how enjoyable a vacation we had in Bora Bora. The Nui Spa was over the top in almost every way. It had a few kinks in its armor-- fitness center was awful, spa was not great, and we did inform the new general manager about these things. But other than that everything was beautiful. The rooms were out of this world, top of the line appointments in the room. The views were unbelievable. The water, well what can I say, it was like swimming in your private fish tank! A five foot shark actually passed by our deck one afternoon, it was great.
Tahiti doesn't measure up to Bora Bora. The hotel was OK but we would have much rather spent our whole vacation in Bora Bora. Anyway, job well done, we had a spectacular time. Bora Bora was way more than I expected and I would love to go back. Maybe you know even better places to go with those types of accommodations.

At first, I thought I'd be able to book all our arrangements online as I normally would for a trip, but trust me, it's next to impossible with all the tiny connecting boats/planes/helicopters, etc. I stumbled upon travelwizard.com and ended up using their Tahiti specialist (Nancy - she's AWESOME!!!!! She spent SO MUCH TIME with me planning this thing, didn't push any resorts on me at all, and it's free. ASK FOR NANCY and you won't be sorry! I'm so glad I had her advice and help!)
My wife and I have been lucky enough to have stayed in some amazing places, and I can comfortably say that this hotel is easily one of the most beautiful places you could possibly stay. We were there for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon, and we both LOVED it here.
I'll keep this short, but here's my review:
The rooms: huge, clean, and gorgeous!! The bathroom was amazing, and breakfast in the room each morning was great.
Travel: we flew in from Le taha'a via helicopter. SO FUN!!! (speaking of which, I highly recommend the other places we stayed as well: Le Taha'a Resort/Spa and Sofitel on Moorea. I did a ton of research here before the trip, and travelled around once we were there to compare our places to the other hotels. In every case, I was SO glad that we were staying where we stayed. Perfect honeymoon: Sofitel on Moorea, then Le Taha'a, then Regis!)
Service: I had heard to not expect top-tier service in French Polynesia, but honestly, I thought the service was pretty great. It wasn't quite what you'd get in a nice asian hotel (for us, the best service so far anywhere has been at Banyan Tree in Bintahn Indonesia - that place is amazing too!!), but it was much better than your average hotel, that's for sure. I also thought it was better even than the nicer Vegas places, such as Bellagio.
Spa: great! VERY modern and slick. I tried the hot-stone massage and thought it was great. Not what I expected. I guess I thought it would be painful or something. The spa itself is on some beautiful grounds, and is worth a visit, even just for snorkeling. (my favorite massage was still the "rain massage" at Le Taha'a Private Island Resort & Spa -- 3 huge shower heads rain on you throughout the massage! Awesome). Overall, I'd give this spa a 9/10 though, because it *was* really nice and clean, the massage was professional and felt great, and the service in the spa was EXCELLENT. A man there named Glen was a lot of help to us, and everyone was really friendly.
Lagoon Restaurant: TERRIFIC meal. quasi-expensive, but worth it. Call ahead and try to get a room right by the water at sunset. WOW.
Tours: We did the jet-ski tour and had a blast, even though it was raining. (it rained the only day we did the jet skis! d'oh!). We also did the private sunset catamaran tour with Richard. This was the highlight of the whole honeymoon, and if you can afford it, I HIGHLY recommend it.
TIP: If you do this, and you lay out on the netting above the water, watching the sunset with your glass of wine, make sure you hold onto your camera or have it around your wrist. Putting it in your pocket is a REALLY bad idea, and take it from me - it really sucks to suddenly discover that your camera has disappeared into the ocean while you were lost in romantic stargazing, losing 2 weeks of photographs... d'oh! Anyway, Richard was awesome, and I can't recommend this trip enough.
Dining: We also splurged one night and ate at a place called Villa Mahana. Holy moly. My wife says this is the best single meal she's ever had. For me, it's my second favorite, but it still blew me away. I can still taste it!! EXCELLENT FOOD!
Anyway - if you can swing it, stay here at least for a couple nights. We went around the whole island a couple times, and nowhere else even compared. Even Four Seasons (which wasn't open yet) didn't quite compare. The rooms look big, but more than half of them are out over darker deeper water. The cool thing about Regis is waking up and seeing your view of the mountain and the AMAZINGLY bright blue water all around you.
We want to return someday for sure, and there's no way I'd stay anywhere else.

Hi Patricia,
Thank you soo much for everything! Bora Bora was a beautiful place to visit
and I'm so happy we got to go there. Everything ran very smoothly from all
of the connections between flights and boat rides and the employess at the
Sofitel were more than nice to the both of us. The manager got the chef out
to speak to us about vegetarian options which was really nice of her and him
to prepare something nice for us.
I totally loved the overwater bungalow!! IT was absolutely amazing and then
they upgraded us to a lagoon bungalow afterwards instead of a garden one
which was really nice of them. The mosquitoes were a little bad in the
place and the wind blew pieces of the roof onto our bed and in our room
everyday (which looked like dust) which wasnt so nice but they tried to
sweep and mop everyday to get it out.
We only ate at the hotel restaurant 2 times as we wanted to experience some
of the other restaurants and polynesian cuisine. We also shopped at the
local grocery store every morning to get fresh baguettes for breakfast:)
It rained a couple of days that we were there but we didnt mind. We also
kayaked (courtesy of the hotel) and rented bikes and rode to vaitape for a
half day which was nice as well.
We wanted to thank you for planning such a smooth and relaxing trip for us.
Everything from the information sent in the mail to everyone taking care of
us at the airports was great. We couldnt have asked for anything else.
I gave all of my information to my parents in hopes that they will make a
trp out at some point so hopefully you will get a call within the next
year. I would definitely recommend your services to others who ask!

Hello Nancy,
We will DEFINITELY refer you to our friends! Our trip was absolutely wonderful. It could not have been better. You did a wonderful job taking care of every little detail - it was so nice to have all of our booking/itinerary information all in one packet - we guarded that thing with our lives! (Not that one worries about that kind of thing in Tahiti - everyone is so nice and laid back!)? We really enjoyed the Intercontinental Thalasso. The overwater bungalows were spectacular. We loved our activities on both islands - it was the perfect mix of rest and play.
Some of our favorite things: Shark/Ray tour, snorkeling, dolphin adventure, peanut-ice cream at the "Sands" restaurant at Thalasso hotel (SOOOO GOOD!), jet ski tour, meeting other honeymooners, filling up on the buffet at Sofitel...yum!
Some things we did not like:? Dinner at the "fancy" restaurant at the Intercontinental Thalasso (I ordered lobster, the most expensive thing on the menu, and for one, it did not taste good...AND there were only 4 bites!? I left extremely hungry and we ended up having to order room service later on...not good!).? Also, dinner at Bloody Mary's was fun, but the food stunk (exactly as you warned!) :) The only other thing we did not like (AT ALLLL!!!) was the Tiki Village Theater dinner/show. It was quite strange, to say the least, and lasted WAY too long! By the end, Corey would have rather shot a hole in his foot that see another "hula" dance. It was great for the first hour, but by the 3-4 hour mark, we felt stranded.? I'd definitely warn people about it....we would never ever do it again.
Random things to tell people: Don't forget to bring your own personal shampoo/conditioner. I accidentally left mine at home. Although the hotels do provide them, they look/feel like coconut milk - I had sticky, greasy hair much of the time! Also, bring extra memory cards for your camera. We had one with plenty of memory, but it was defective...so we had to have a driver take us to a random electronics store in Moorea. Thank goodness, they had the card we needed...it only cost a small fortune though! Lastly, please let people know to bring a bag of "emergency" medications/bandages, etc. The pharmacy is the only place to get meds if you need them - even over-the-counter pain killers.? I needed one of my medication's while I was there and had to have my doctor from the States fax a prescription to the pharmacy in Bora Bora! It was quite a fiasco, but all ended well and we only lost 1/2 a day of fun. We were sooo pleased with the hotel service through it all...they took VERY good care of me (even asked how I was feeling the next day!) and made all of the arrangements. They even sent a hotel employee to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription and bring it back to our room. They were sooooo wonderful.? Service at that hotel is outstanding.
So Nancy, all in all, aside from very minor issues, our trip was just fantastic. We will remember it always - and we have lots of pictures to look back on! Thanks for all of your assistance - we appreciate it!

The property there was beautiful, but the service was poor. We found Moorea over-touristed, but really loved the rest. Our highlights were the week long yatch trip and the Kia Ora in Rangiroa. Everything went off without a hitch (well, except the fact that I
dropped my camera into the ocean off of the catamaran during the sunset catamaran cruise in Bora Bora and we lost all our photos!!!! D'OH! The day before we left, too. That was a tough one to get over, but I'm over it. heh heh Brutal, though!), and Jen was totally blown away. Here's some feedback for ya: - all the hotels rocked. We loved them all, and it was so cool to see that they all had their charms. Taha'a was awesome for sure, too -thanks so much for the suggestion! I loved that we had our own
hammock!!!!!!
- Allo Pizza on Moorea was the best pizza I've ever had. Ever. I'd
definitely recommend that to people. And we could both eat our fill for
like $35, which was a nice break from the food prices, as well. Oh, and they deliver to the hotels too! We did that too - it was so fun! ha ha - feeding the rays/sharks on Tahaa was AMAZING. wow wow wow wow.

- oh! My favorite massage ever was at Tahaa too - they had this thing
where water rains on you from these 3 huge showerheads throughout your massage. WOW.
- Villa Mahana was AMAZING toO!!!!! Jen said it was her favorite meal EVER, and it was my 2nd favorite ever. (I had a dinner at the 4 seasons on Maui that blew my mind, and remains my number 1). We had a great time there, but it was a pain in the ass to get home. I think Regis screwed up the boats or something, but we waited from 10-11pm to be picked up at this dock, which was kind of a bummer, and I started to get scared that no one was coming, and we were in the middle of nowhere.... heh heh Anyway - it worked out just fine. I think there was some confusion among the boat drivers because they were arguing later. I could tell that one of them had goofed. No biggie. The meal was so amazing that it didn't matter!!!!
Oh, and I have NO IDEA how someone could spend $600 in there. Honestly, it'd be almost impossible. You'd have to drink at least 3 glasses of expensive champagne each or something. We had wine and amazing dinners and it was under $300. They did offer us champagne when we got there, but it was clearly not an offer of a "gift," it was just asking if we'd like to order some. No idea what that other couple was thinking...- another thing definitely worth recommending to people would be to eat at Lagoon at St. Regis. It's their nicer place. We ate there a couple nights before Mahana, and honestly, it was *really* close to being as cool, and the view, if you sit by the water, is unbelievable. All you see is the lagoon and mountain. It's awesome, the service was as good or better than Mahana, and the food was amazing. It's also a bit cheaper - I think dinner (and 4 cocktails) was around $220. And Jen wants me to tell you to tell people that their Watermelon Martinis are
to die for. :)
- the sunset catamaran tour with Richard was awesome, just don't leave your camera loose in your pocket if you decide to lay down on the net to look at the stars coming out. derrrrr :)

The wedding was perfect - Rick is wonderful! We instantly loved him we even went to his church service on Sunday. He is such a great person.
The ziplining was awesome. It was really scary the first few zips, but once we felt more comfortable it was so much fun. Something you have to do - not a whole lot of people can say they get into the jungle and zip across the rainforest. We would do it again!
The Grand Hyatt was needless to say GRAND!!!! We loved it - would have liked a few more days there, but it gives us something to work for in the future!!!"

Jesse and I got back from Tahiti several days ago and we wanted to thank you for booking such a wonderful honeymoon for us!!! We had the best time; it was beautiful and everything we wanted. Thank you for recommending The Sofitel - it is a wonderful place to stay! We only wish that we had done the over-water bungalow one more night since those rooms are so much nicer but 2 nights was great. It was an excellent idea to split up our nights between a garden bungalow and the over-water. We would never have thought to do that but it worked out really well. We did all of the excursions while in the garden bungalow and then completely relaxed the last 2 days in our over-water bungalow. It also gave us something to look forward to at the end of the trip. In addition, we were very glad that you didn't buy us meal plans because there are several places to eat within walking distance of the Sofitel. There is one restaurant that is a 5-minute walk from the hotel called La Bounty where we ate about half our meals! They had an excellent lunch and dinner menu. We ate at Bloody Mary's one night too which was fun but we actually preferred La Bounty and all the other cute restaurants we ate at. Our trip would not have been the same experience if we had eaten all of our meals at the Sofitel. It was nice to eat outside the hotel, to get more of a feel for the place, and to have the opportunity to interact with people who live in Bora Bora. We did the shark and ray feeding excursion as you suggestd and we also did the sunset catamaran cruise - both of which were truly amazing experiences. Thank you so much for booking this absolutely perfect trip for us! It was the best honeymoon we could have imagined and we are already talking about going back sometime...maybe for our 5th or 10th anniversary. And, of course, if we do go back sometime, we'll definitely book the trip through you. =)

When we got to the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in Bora Bora we were greeted by the manager who called us by name. She checked us in and gave us a tour around the resort. When we got to the room, she told us that they upgraded us to a suite with our own private pool. It was surrounded by palms and beautiful flora making it private and we were right on the beach. It was incredible!! They also arranged on our last night a cake and bottle of champagne brought to the room for us.
And the last night we were scheduled to be in an over water bungalow, they gave us the best end of the pontoon on the resort. I don't know what you told them but thank you very much. We were treated like VIPs.
We have been to many places around the world but this is the most beautiful we've seen. The water was incredible and the resort and staff exceeded our expectations. I am also impressed with you and your company with taking care of all the details. Every place we went we were greeted by your staff and helped with all the transfers. It eliminated all the confusion.
Thank you for all the help!! A 25 year anniversary is a special occasion and you helped make it perfect.

I've been meaning to email you but I just started back at work and have been dealing with that! Anyway, the honeymoon was amazing! You did such a great job in picking out the activities, the hotels were fabulous, and the weather matched with sunny days the whole time!
We got to the Moorea Pearl by 700am and they were incredibly nice. They upgraded us to the overwater bungalow for free and then had us checked into the room by 830 that morning! The champagne was there by 10am! The lagoon excursion was perfect- we both loved it -and we did lots of fun trips around Moorea.
Bora Bora Pearl Resort was absolutely astonishing. I was so glad you put us there second; we never wanted to leave! The view from our bungalow was amazing and the water was always crystal blue. The jeep tour on Bora Bora was great as well; the guide was awesome and we saw the best views and ate pineapple and bananas that he picked and cut up for us. It was perfect to do it in the morning, too.
Again, I cannot tell you how great of a job you did. I loved the land on Moorea, and the water and views on Bora Bora. The food was all excellent (including Bloody Mary's where I got to talk to the manager in detail about my favorite types of fish) wherever we went and the people were always over the top in kindness.
Anyway, thanks again. I hope we will some day get to go back! I've already told my parents this, but any other friends and family interested in Tahiti I will definitely recommend you.

You beat me to the punch - I was planning to send you an email, letting you know how completely fantastic this trip was! You arranged it perfectly - I don't think there was a thing you could have done to make it better. When we were at Tikehau (which COMPLETELY blew us away) Alex kept asking how it could possibly get any better. He's right, that was a tough one to beat, but Bora Bora of course, was fantastic. Oh, and the jet ski tour worked out great. I think there are at least a couple of jet ski tour operators in Bora Bora but this one had to have been the best. Our guide was this young guy who first played his little ukelele and sang while driving the boat with his foot, then took us on part of the jet ski tour (which is based on his mother's land), then stopped at another part of his property and took us for free on a quad tour of his land to another part of the island (the other couple with us apparently had booked the jet ski/quad combo). Along the way, the guide picked coconuts, bananas and all kinds of other stuff and once we got to the beach prepared this yummy feast of fruit and delicious stuff. Anyway, stick with this tour operator - he definitely wows. Attaching a couple of pics ...
