One of several formal walled gardens which blends so well with the extensive, informal and natural gardens all set within Stapleford's magnificent woodlands. To stroll through these beautifully maintained and peaceful grounds is to experience a perfect natural pleasure.
Church Of St Mary Magdalene
Although no longer in regular use, the Church of St Mary Magdalene graces the gardens of Stapleford. Built in 1783 for the Earl of Harborough, the Church retains all its original features, magnificent monuments and delightful west gallery containing a fireplace for the Earl.

Amanda - Attractive contemporary and cosy room, decorated in shades of brown with a hint of velvets in gold. Situated on the first floor of the main house. Connects with Campion Bell.
Baker - In the Baker Room buttermilk décor is carried through from the sitting room to bedroom and bathroom give this suite an aura or relaxed opulence.
Max Pike - Named after the original supplier of the bathroom fittings to many of the rooms Max Pike appropriately has the most wonderful free standing bath to allow a tremendous view out to the gardens and fields beyond.Rubber ducks available but not compulsory!. Max interconnects with its sister room Molly on the second floor.
Bonsoir - Walls and upholstery in Bonsoir's favourite striped pyjama materials of lively lime green and lavender, looking out over the garden.
Brides - Designed by the famous Brides Magazine, the Brides Room room incorporates the theme of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, with an extravagantly decorated bed being the main feature of the room.
Campion Bell - Very interesting room with unusual, hand painted murals on the walls. Situated on the first floor of the main house, connects with Amanda
Chestnut - A Huge room, decorated in shades of green with red drapes, red and cream easy chairs and a paisley settee. Vast wardrobes in the bedroom and a separate dressing room are features of this room. Privately situated as one of three rooms in the archway with access to the main house through the Grand Hall entrance
Coca Cola - Sponsored by Coca Cola, this room revolves around the style of the Coca Cola bottle and logo. With an impressive false bookcase, this room comes with a fridge full of Coca Cola.
Colonel - Annie Charlton has made this a special room with hunting pink and sporting checks. Red Flannel covers the walls with equestrian overtones, giving an immediate cosy feel. On the second floor in Old Wing.
Crabtree & Evelyn - Designed by Crabtree and Evelyn, famous for their bathroom toiletries.
This is the most photographed room in the house. Over 200 pictures on the walls! Enjoy the impressive trompe d'oeil in the bathroom; the abundance of Crabtree and Evelyn products and the period vases, jugs and bowls which together with tapestry cushions and kelims add the finishing floral touches.
David Hicks - Designed by David Hicks, this dramatic room with a barrel shaped ceiling has been hand painted to match the natural stone of the windows. The bed in the centre of the room has striped drapes that fall to each corner.
Flemish Tapestries - Deep red walls provide a perfect backdrop for the fine selection of Flemish tapestries, with double aspect views over the grounds.
IBM Room - Sponsored by IBM, famous for their computer technology, this room has an 'eye' table. The walls are decorated in blue with gold B's and the chair at the dressing table is an 'M' shape. This room is complete with an IBM computer.
Justerini & Brooks (J&B) - Purveyors of fine wines and whisky, Justerini and Brooks sponsored this unusual bedroom. The room incorporates their colours of gold and blue in a similar style to their labels. Wine will certainly be in your dreams.
Molly Pike - As you walk into Molly and down the stairs you are struck by the wonderful views out of the windows below . A stylish Chelsea silk chair awaits you next to the window. Fun stripes wrap themselves around the luxurious velvet and leather on the bed. A contemporary cherry chest of drawers with its unique lines stands next to a large mirror upholstered in leather. A room to relax in or even a fun room for the children to enjoy.
Kiki McDonough - Sponsored by Kiki McDonough famous for designing modern jewellery and the crystal heart earrings which are exhibited in the V&A. This bedroom is based on the design of Kiki McDonough's shop in Walton Street, with the exception of the cabinet which has been painted with a toille de jouie scene to compliment the wallpaper incorporating her latest jewellery entwined in cherabes.
Lady Gretton - Formerly Lady Gretton's Bedroom this room was designed by Annie Charlton and reflects the graceful, historical style of the room as it might have been in the 1890's.
Lady Jane Churchill - Yellow and cream stripped wallpaper. Designed by Lady Jane Churchill, it is one of the original principal bedrooms of the house. Situated on the first floor of the main house.
MGM - Sponsored by MGM, one of the most prestigious and glamorous film studios in Hollywood. The main feature of this room is the television and video with a cinema curtain backdrop. The walls are covered with black and white prints of film stars.
Mulberry - Mulberry are famed for their characteristic wit, originality and stylish re-interpretation of traditional English designs. This room shows an eclectic collection of Mulberry checks, tweeds, leather and Flying Ducks. The study is a beautifully calm room and the glass encased clock makes the bathroom something very special.
Nobilis Fontan - Sponsored by Noblis Fontan, famous for their outstanding French fabrics, wallpapers and trimmings. This room is a fine example of their exceptionally beautiful fabrics.
Panache - Mocca wallpaper and rich bed furnishings provide a perfect setting for selection of cushions and other details with a variety of British 'Trimmings'.
Pirelli - Pirelli have allowed Stapleford Park to use this room to display their famous calendars dating back to 1982. This is the only single room in the house, with a bateau lit.
Range Rover - Sponsored by Range Rover, famous for their off road vehicles, this room is decorated in green with a fire surround designed in the style of a Range Rover bumper complete with headlights.
Sanderson - Contemporary and opulent, the Sanderson Room displays award winning Eltham Vine wallpaper complemented by luxurious silks and velvets in rich hues of red and gold. The internationally renowned brand Sanderson takes its inspiration from archive designs capturing the latest trend ideas to create a decorated finish.
Savoir Beds - The 8 ft round bed is the centrepiece of this '70 style decorated room. True 'Austin Powers' in shades of silver and mauve, with great double aspect views over the parkland and lake.
Savonerie - Medieval combination of Pastel floral walls. A selection of Flemish tapestries on the walls. A spacious room with large windows. Connects with Bloomsbury on the second floor of the main house.
Turnbull & Asser - Distinguished shirtmakers, by Royal Appointment to The Prince of Wales, Turnbull and Asser have over the years established an international reputation as "probably one of the finest shirtmakers in the world" and represent for many people the quintessential English bespoke shirtmaker. This masculine room has shirting material on the walls and the pictures are mounted on braces. Bow ties are displayed in a cabinet inside the door.
Turnell & Gigon - Sponsored by Cole & Son wellknown for their traditional English wallpapers from the 17th and 21st Century, and Turnell & Gigon who are noted for their luxurious fabrics and trimmings.
Warner - The Warner room is a light airy room decorated with Warner's traditional prints and fabrics making this one of our classic English Country House rooms.
Wedgwood - This Wedgwood blue and white room has an eye catching four-poster bed with lace drapes. All items of Wedgwood Jasper were especially made for the room. Situated on the first floor of the main house.
Wendy Cushing - Deep mushroom fabric on walls complement the rich velvet bed furnishings finished with decorative trimmings in the Wendy Cushing room.
Zoffany - Contemporary style in an old Victorian room with fabulous views over the park and lake. The deep yellow and light tomato red furnishings of this popular room are enhanced by the sunshine that suffuses this room from the early morning.

Stapleford Park is a magnificent 17th Century House with a relaxed country home atmosphere. Located amidst some of Englands most beautiful countryside, the house offers an ideal setting for a wedding reception, while the grounds and gardens - designed by Capability Brown - provide a splendid background for photographs.
The bedrooms at Stapleford are truly unique. We have 55 individually designed rooms which reflect the style of their creators: famous names such as Mulberry, David Hicks and Crabtree and Evelyn have contributed to the hotel's distinctive style.
The perfect wedding look
Those who enjoy serious pampering will love the spa with its stunning twenty two metre mosaic pool and extensive treatment facilities. Spend some time with your personal therapist to create the perfect wedding look in the relaxed atmosphere of our treatment rooms.
Civil Ceremonies and Blessings
Civil Ceremonies can be performed at Stapleford Park, a unique and romantic setting for the most important day of your life.
The Orangery is licensed for Ceremonies for up to 150 people. For a more intimate wedding we can perform ceremonies in the Morning Room for up to 30 people. The Drawing Room is also licensed, although this area can only be used for ceremonies during Exclusive Use at Stapleford Park.
Intimate Weddings
A bespoke service is also available for more intimate weddings.
For a more intimate wedding we can host your ceremony in the Morning Room, followed by your Wedding Breakfast in either the Harborough Room, Old Kitchen or Billiard Room.
Grand Weddings
The Grand Hall & Orangery provide the ideal setting for your wedding reception. With views of the stunning countryside the Grand Hall can seat up to 180 people for your wedding breakfast, whilst the Orangery is perfect for either your wedding ceremony or pre-dinner drinks.
Our three Wedding Packages have been designed to suit your individual requirements. All three packages include special wedding menus created by our Excutive Chef Wayne Vickerage, great wines and that all important champagne.
To add the finishing touches to your day we will send one of our qualified therapists to apply your wedding make-up in the comfort of your bedroom.In addition to our Wedding Packages (which are for a minimum of 80 guests) we also offer bespoke weddings if you would prefer a more intimate ceremony followed by a smaller reception. Once you have celebrated your special day with your friends and family, you can retire complimentary to one of our 52 individually designed bedrooms as husband and wife, and enjoy a bottle of chilled champagne which will be waiting for you!

Grinling Gibbons

Dining with us is more than just a gastronomic delight. It is about spoiling yourself and enjoying informal luxury where you can unwind inhistoric surroundings.
Children under 9 are not permitted to dine in the fine dining restaurant.
Pavilion Brasserie
The new award winning golf club house has been built in keeping with the existing character of the estate. Using local stone and a thatched roof, the Club House is now complete with its own Brasserie. The Brasserie boasts stunning views over the golf course and surrounding park land.
Interior design is simple and contemporary, relaxed and informal. The cuisine under executive Chef, Wayne Vickerage is modern classic with world wide influences as well as classic British dishes.
Private Dining
Stapleford Park's beautiful private rooms are available to host up to 180 people for either lunch or dinner.
The Harborough Room, named after the Earl of Harborough, can seat a maximum of 26 people on one long mahogany table.
The Old Kitchen is a beautiful vaulted room, the oldest in the house and can seat up to 36 people.
The Grand Hall, by contrast is our largest room, and completely self-contained with its own bar & facilities aswell as direct access from the driveway and the gardens. It is a blank canvas to be decorated to your tastes and requirements. It leads through to the Orangery, a delightful room in its own right and a perfect area for pre-dinner drinks.”
For smaller numbers there is the option of dining in our Billiard Room, with stunning views on two sides over the gardens and parkland.
Dress Code
We would respectfully request that Smart/casual attire is worn at all times, no denim is worn after 7.00 PM in the main house and gentlemen wear a jacket when dining in the main restaurant. However if you prefer to be more casual, then please join us in the Brasserie at the Golf Pavilion.
Clubs
To join Stapleford Park as a Club Member is to truly appreciate what the estate has to offer on a regular basis. Whether you live down the road, down country or across the water we have a range of memberships which reflect your differing needs. If for example a couple want to join, one golfer & one non-golfer, you can ‘mix & match' the membership packages to suit. We also offer corporate memberships which include a number of complimentary green fees for entertaining clients.

The course at Stapleford Park is a rare exception, being in the delightfully pure setting of a Capability Brown landscape, with ever changing views of Stapleford's stately home, its lakes and five hundred acre park. The Spa

The Spa at Stapleford Park has numerous facilities which include a swimming pool, steam room, Jacuzzi, gymnasium, and individually designed beauty therapy rooms.
Lie back and relax, losing yourself in the unique, indulgent atmosphere of tranquil music and a “summer sky”. We currently offer a full range of Clarins treatments & products considered to be the amongst the best in the world and look forward to welcoming Thalgo products into our Spa soon too.
We also offer Indian head massage, aromatherapy, reiki and reflexology for both men and women. Relax in sub-tropical temperatures around the 22 metre swimming pool which has been hand-laid by craftsmen and is complemented by our tropical aquarium. But you will have to come to Stapleford park to see it all for yourself!
Activities & Sports
Swimming - Stapleford has a 22 meter indoor swimming pool, conveniently situated within the house, as well as a Jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. All of which are available to our guests. The pool also leads out on to a terrace, where you can relax and sunbathe during the warmer months.
Techno Gym - The new state of the art gymnasium has everything on offer from treadmills and elliptical trainers to recumbent bicycles and rowing machines, as well as a wide variety of resistance machines and free weights.
There is also a spacious fitness studio, where regular classes are held. We have regular classes as well as Functional Conditioning, Core Conditioning, and Circuit Training.
Tennis - The six tennis courts offer a choice of four different playing surfaces. There are two synthetic grass courts, two alastesol courts, one acrylic court and an artificial clay court.
Croquet and other ball games - Enjoy a challenging yet relaxing game of croquet on the fine lawns surrounding the house.
Shooting - Malcolm Davison, our Director of Country Pursuits, can arrange high quality driven Pheasant, Duck and Partridge shooting on some of the finest shoots in the Midlands - emphasis on 'quality'. Numbers vary from one to four hundred birds per day. Price per bird or per day.
Fishing - To the front of Stapleford Park is our beautiful lake which is stocked with fine trout. You can learn the art of Fly Fishing or perfect your casting in tranquil surroundings.Fishing tackle, bait, tuition and a great day's sport that all will enjoy!
Off Road Driving - Utilising a disused quarry only a short distance from Stapleford Park, and some of Land Rover's most sophisticated vehicles - you'll need the four wheel drive, anti-lock brakes, traction control, differential lock and a degree of steely nerve to work your way around this roller-coaster without tracks!
Mountain Biking - Mountain bikes are available at Stapleford, which are great fun for the quiet Leicestershire countryside. Cycle routes are also available from Reception.
Archery - At Stapleford Park, we have unrivalled facilities for Archery.With a personal tutor to guide you in the intricacies of the ancient sport, you will find learning at Stapleford an enjoyable experience - and if you are already experienced, the competition can be fierce!
