Perfectly located between the ancient New Forest National Park and the sea on the South Coast of England, the hotel boasts 130 acres of picturesque grounds and parkland, an award-winning restaurant, world-class spa and leisure facilities, luxurious accommodation and modern meeting facilities.

Each of the 58 bedrooms and suites have been decorated to provide the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Offering a variety of dishes from a selection of menu options the style of cookery is eclectic, and extensive use is made of fresh local produce such as wild mushrooms, vegetables and game from the New Forest, and seafood from local Christchurch and Lymington.

A selection of vegetarian options and low calorie dishes are available. Luncheon is served daily in the Marryat Restaurant. In the evening, the restaurant offers an extensive menu, with an incomparable wine list. Our restaurant is extremely popular so please reserve your table well in advance. The Restaurant and lounges are designated as non-smoking.

Tea, coffee and bar drinks are served in the Elphinstone Lounge, The Morning Room, and the Marryat Bar. The Pool Bar in the Spa serves a light buffet style menu. Afternoon Tea is served daily, either in the Lounges, your bedroom, or, during fine weather, on the Terrace.

Spa guests can also take advantage of the Leisure activities, including 9 hole par 3 Golf Course, Tennis Centre and Croquet Lawn.

Spa treatments are priced from approximately £80 per hour and should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. The spa grooming lounge also offers a full range of manicures and pedicures.

Gym

Our gym is fully air conditioned and equipped with new ‘Air Machine’ resistance, as well as ‘Cybex CV’ equipment. This provides a wide range of cardiovascular and resistance exercise options to give a total body workout.

We have equipped the gym for its ease of use; it is suitable for beginners and advanced participants alike.
Personal trainers are available to advise you on your fitness needs and we can arrange comprehensive fitness assessments by appointment.

Swimming Pool

The centrepiece of our Spa is the indoor swimming pool, with gentle tromp d’oeil Corinthian columns, honey stone walls and blue sky with puffy white clouds.

It is 17-metres long and its crystal clear waters are treated with ozone to reduce the chlorine levels, making for a more enjoyable swimming experience. For our guests' comfort and safety the pool is 1.4 metres deep throughout. We use a special air treatment system that reduces the humidity and condensation in the pool area to provide the most enjoyable of bathing experience. Our outdoor pool is heated and open during the summer months.

The hotel has its own 900+ yard, 9-hole, par 3 golf course which is open from 10.00am every day, weather permitting. In addition we have a golf practice area.

It is a beautifully maintained course, with well thought out holes, including some challenging water hazards to navigate over, which we know you will enjoy playing.

Cycling

The hotel has Mountain Bikes and helmets available for guest usage. From the hotel there are many cycle routes to choose from including trails around the New Forest and along the coastal path to Lymington.

Tennis

Within the hotel grounds we have an indoor tennis centre featuring two indoor courts with the unique Marka-Grain surface; these are arguably the finest in the country. In addition we have two all-weather outdoor courts.

Horse Riding

The natural and most exciting way to see the New Forest is on horseback. The New Forest pony is one of the UK's recognised breeds of mountain and moorland ponies and noted for its intelligence, strength and "willing-to-please" temperament. Of all the native British pony breeds, New Foresters are the least afraid of man.

Fishing

There is excellent freshwater fishing nearby on the rivers Avon and Itchen and on the beautiful estates of Broadlands and Timsbury on the River Test. Day permits are sometimes available and we would be pleased to arrange a fishing trip for you, suitable for both the novice and experienced 'rod'. Please give as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment.

Hiking & Walking

There are many walking and jogging trails within the grounds. These include the many formal walks within the New Forest and all are easily available a short drive from the hotel. Please ask at reception for more information.

Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool

The hotel has its own outdoor heated swimming pool, which is open during the summer months.

Gardens & Grounds

Chewton Glen is set in 130 acres of exquisitely landscaped parkland, gardens and woodland. Head Gardener Darren Venables and his team of dedicated gardeners work hard to create seasonal displays and beautiful vistas for guests to enjoy year-around.
