15th Century Manor House is set on secluded private grounds 7 miles south of the historic city of Oxford, a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace and, of course, the ancient colleges of Oxford University. Each room and suite at Le Manoir has been designed individually to suit every taste. From the exotic Opium and sensual Mon Plaisir to the cool Snow Queen and sleek Vettriano, interior designers Emily Todhunter, Michael Priest and Trevillion have created a wealth of ambience in the beautiful and spacious rooms of Le Manoir.

Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons Resort Deluxe Bedrooms

Bluebell - Located in the main house on the second floor with window seats overlooking the front courtyard. Designed in a traditional style, wallpapered with a light blue toque design. The bathroom features a traditional Victorian hand painted bath.

Camellia - Located on the ground floor of the garden courtyard with a private terrace leading to the main hotel gardens. A classical design style contrasted with the introduction of contemporary furnishings. The bedroom with king size bed (can be twinned) is finished in subtle yellows and mint greens. At the foot of the bed the ottoman adds another dimension. The bathroom in light marble is the perfect accompaniment.

Emily -  A small tribute to my friend Emily Todhunter. Located on the first floor of the main house. The room has huge character with strong and imposing beams; it is right in the heart and oldest part of the house dating back from 15th Century. Light streams through the two windows opening onto the courtyard.

Mimosa - Located on the first floor of the main house. The room draws its colours from the palest yellow blossom and the delicate lime foliage. Hand-crafted aubergine glass tables complement the centrepiece bed with its shimmering "Lemone Silk" Chase Erwin fabric.

Orchid - Located on the first floor of the Main House, Orchid embraces the subtle colours and beauty of the Orchid - creamy white, understated and elegant. Contemporary features such as a state of the art television and textured grasspaper walls from Nobilis combine with charming fabrics to create a classic feel.

Passion Flower - Located on the ground floor of the garden courtyard with a private terrace leading to the main hotel gardens. A traditional style but with a contemporary twist. The cream backdrop of the walls is brought to life by the more predominant lines of colour at the height of the room. The king size bed and dark wood antique furniture maintain the traditional setting and in contrast is the light delicate marble of the bathroom.

Amethyst - Located in the garden courtyard. A contemporary style in delicate shades of lilac, this is an artistic, romantic and modern space.

Cameo - Located on the second floor of the Main House. A modern take on a traditional style. A stunning tiled bathroom complete with Victorian bath completes the room.

Crystal - Located in the garden courtyard. The room is decorated in a bright modern style with the inclusion of mirrors, splashes of colour in the accessories and modern art on the walls.

Hollyhock - A light and airy room located in the Main House. A traditional feel, with hand painted wallpaper and antique furniture.

Hyacinth - A traditional room located in the Main House. Decorated in hyacinth blue with antique furniture and a hand painted Victorian bath.

Kiki - Located in the garden courtyard, with private terrace. The most contemporary superior room at Le Manoir.

Mon Plaisir - Located in the garden courtyard. A contemporary and sensual style, with silhouettes of naked ladies adorning the walls.

Rouge et Noir - Located in the garden courtyard. Contemporary and dramatic, the deep reds and black are highlighted with gold for an oriental touch.

Sandalwood - Located on the ground floor overlooking the main hotel gardens. A comfortable, modern room with an abundance of sandalwood.

Silk - Located in the garden courtyard with a private terrace. A modern take on a traditional style with, as the name suggests, a wonderful range of silks.

Snow Queen - Located on the ground floor of the garden courtyard with private terrace. A truly stunning room, luxuriously dressed walls of purple silk and silver snowflakes.

Vettriano - Named after and dedicated to the artist Jack Vettriano, this is a sleek masculine room in aubergine and chocolate tones with original paintings by the artist adorning the walls.

Junior Suites

Botticelli - Located on the first floor of the main house. A traditional room with a stunning bathroom, featuring a Botticelli mural and twin baths.

Citronnelle - Located on the ground floor of the garden courtyard with a private terrace, this modern room is started and finished in fresh, vibrant yellow.

Eugenie - Located on the first floor of the garden courtyard with views of the inner courtyard. This room has a contemporary edge on a rustic French Provincial theme.

Hydrangea - Located in the main house on the second floor with a small balcony overlooking the Croquet lawn and orchard.

Manon - Located on the first floor of the garden courtyard with views of the inner courtyard. This room has a contemporary edge whilst maintaining the traditional rustic look of Provincial France.

Suites

Anais - Located on the first floor of the garden courtyard. An extremely contemporary room with views of the inner courtyard.

Lavande - Located on the first floor of the main house, the largest room within the original building. Solid oak flooring gives Lavande a quietly modern look in the most traditional part of the house.

Lalique - Located on the first floor of the garden courtyard. A contemporary room with views of the inner courtyard.

Superior Bedrooms

Lace - Located in the garden courtyard with a private terrace including water feature. Appointed over two floors with a modern, feminine feel although based on a traditional design.

Lemongrass - Located on the first floor of the garden courtyard with views of the hotel orchard and the inner courtyard. A quietly sophisticated room inspired by South East Asia.

Opium - Located at the end of the garden courtyard with a private walled garden and Oriental style water feature. An extremely atmospheric room with many Oriental influences.

Peony - Located in the garden courtyard with a private terrace leading to the main hotel gardens. A spacious suite appointed over two floors with a contemporary yet classical design.

Provence - Located in the garden courtyard with a private terrace. An extremely spacious room with a rustic, provencal theme.

The modern French menu at the two-Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons has been described as 'a twist of imaginative genius' and the cuisine is undoubtedly the focus of every guest's visit. Gary Jones, a Blanc protégé and Michelin starred chef himself, rejoined forces with Raymond as Executive Head Chef in August 1999.

The two-acre kitchen garden produces 90 types of vegetable and over 70 varieties of herb, which are used in Le Manoir's kitchen. Monsieur Blanc has been a champion of the organic movement for the last 20 years.

The restaurant is open to non-residents for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.

The five course Les Classiques du Manoir dinner costs £95 per person and the ten course Menu Découverte costs from £110 per person.

A full vegetarian menu has been specially created to offer exceptional quality and choice for all guests.

The magnificent two acre vegetable and herb garden produces over 90 types of vegetables, many of which Raymond discovered within his mother's garden. Together with 70 types of herb, this garden supplies the restaurant's kitchen with its daily needs for eight months of the year. Over the last seventeen years almost every inch has been irrigated, re-planted, re-designed and re-seeded.

Monks who occupied the site in the 16th Century originally dug the English water garden, which is fed by natural springs. The ponds are now home to a variety of water plants and fauna.

Following a trip to Japan Raymond Blanc fell in love with Japanese culture. He introduced a very special Japanese tea garden at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, providing a tranquil setting for guests to contemplate the beauty and simplicity of their surroundings.

We are delighted to announce that the Raymond Blanc Cookery School has been completely refurbished. Our new partners include Gaggenau, Smallbone of Devizes and Wüsthof Trident who will be alongside our existing partners Amtico and Bang & Olufsen.

The Raymond Blanc Cookery School is for everyone who has a passion for food and wishes to have fun preparing it. In fact, “fun” is the word most often used by our cookery school students to describe their one, two or four days at the School. Initial concerns about the level of cooking skills required are immediately dispelled by the informality of the environment and the realisation that the only qualifications needed are a love of food and the desire to learn about cooking. At the hands of our experienced chefs, the complete novice through to the experienced enthusiast will learn not only the secrets of producing the finest food, but the reasons behind those secrets.

The pressure for many of us to find exciting and interesting activities to occupy our children during the school holidays can be daunting. Almost as daunting as persuading them that healthy eating can be fun!

The Milton Room

Le Manoir is a house which loves celebration and resonates to the sounds of laughter and enjoyment. An event at Le Manoir is a unique experience and one to remember. Raymond Blanc has created a haven where food, comfort and service, combined with attention to detail, provide an environment that is warm, friendly and informal.

The Milton Room can host a private party, a corporate event or a wedding for between 15 and 50 guests for Lunch or Dinner, with its own private reception room and secluded garden. A place for all seasons, your guests can enjoy drinks on the patio and croquet on the lawn during the summer months or the glow of an open fire for a warm welcome during the winter months.

Designed by Emily Todhunter, the Milton Room reflects Le Manoir’s themes: vitality, romance, style and elegance.
