Lucknam Park Hotel, Bath, London Vacations, Honeymoons and Luxury Travel Packages Located just six miles from the historic city of Bath, Lucknam Park is a Palladian manor house dating from 1720 which was maintained as a family home until 1987 when it opened its doors as a superb country house hotel.
Set in 500 acres of listed parkland and superb gardens Lucknam Park has been lovingly restored to the elegance and style of the past era, and offers luxurious comfort, award winning delicious food. The hotel has 41 bedrooms including 13 suites (many with Four Poster beds), five of which have separate sitting rooms. Many facilities are available both for relaxation and for those who enjoy a more active break. Whatever your choice the emphasis at Lucknam Park is on guest comfort and attentive personal service.
Public Rooms Upon your arrival at Lucknam Park -- after driving down our mile-long drive flanked on each side by two rows of proud beech and lime trees, and the broad lawns that follow -- your first exposure to the unique experience we bring to each and every guest will begin. Enter the house and an aura of tranquillity envelops you as the staff take complete care of your comfort and well being within the warmth and elegance of the hall. Rooms Each of the thirteen suites and twenty-nine bedrooms is individually designed with fabrics, antiques and ornaments specially chosen to reflect the character of the rooms. Grand Suites These traditional, luxurious suites are situated in the Main House and Courtyard and have stunning views across the estate and gardens. All of our Grand Suites feature either an individual separate sitting room, open fire place or four poster bed. Each presents a unique experience to the guests that stay in them. Park Suites Lucknam Park’s Park Suites consist of four individual suites situated in the Courtyard and Cottage. These spacious rooms all enjoy fine views of the gardens and have the luxury of a comfortable sitting area. Other features of these rooms include either a four poster or sleigh bed or separate walk in shower. Deluxe Rooms
Standard Rooms These are situated in both the Main House or around the delightful Courtyard. Although these are the smallest rooms at Lucknam Park no service or attention to detail is spared. These rooms are ideal for guests planning a shorter stay.
Lucknam Park is approached by a magnificent mile long avenue of four hundred lime and beech trees planted in 1827. The gardens of the hotel spread over 5 acres and are set within an impressive estate of 500 acres of listed parkland.
The herb garden is influenced in design by the Victorian kitchen garden with Yew and Box hedging and planted with a variety of culinary herbs. Lavender is very evident throughout the garden schemes and there is an old, formal circular Lavender garden on the west lawn. The Equestrian Centre has a welcoming atmosphere and follows British Horse Society guidelines. From the complete beginner to the advanced rider, both children and adults, can enjoy hacking across the estate or visiting local villages in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Alternatively, take a lesson in the all-weather Arena. The lunging ring, cross-country course and all-weather gallops give lots of opportunity to enjoy the unique Equestrian Centre. These suites are situated in the bays of the front of the main house and each enjoy magnificent views of the estate. Both of these unique suites feature sumptuous décor with a large sitting area, stately four poster bed, writing desk, and a dining table. Additional features include mini bar, CD player and video.
These medium sized rooms are situated in the Main House, Courtyard and Cottages and have the benefit of a comfortable sitting area within the room. Each of our Deluxe Room guests enjoy all of the attention to detail and exquisite service that Lucknam Park is renowned for. In addition, all enjoy a pretty outlook.
The Rose Garden was planted in spring 1996. The symmetrical design is based around that of a French courtyard with espalier fruit trees laddering the old converted stable building walls and a small formal pool in its centre. Each border has been planted with old traditional roses grown partly for their exquisite scent; Gallica, Bourbon and Portlands such as Boule de Neige, Jacques Cartiers and Charles de Mills.
For those who want to keep in shape, Lucknam Park offers a multitude of facilities to both guests and members. The gymnasium equipped with a range of cardio vascular and resistance equipment; is perfect for gentle training or a more strenuous workout.
