The Capital was created by its Scottish proprietor David Levin 35 years ago and, to this day, it is a family-run hotel. With the world-renowned stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols on the doorstep and Hyde Park just a few minute's walk away, The Capital is a tremendous base from which to explore.

Rooms and suites

There are 49 guest bedrooms in total, including 8 suites, 7 deluxe doubles and one newly refurbished Two Bedroom Suite. All suites and double rooms have super-king sized beds. Each of the 49 air-conditioned suites and bedrooms is individually designed, subtly luxurious and supremely comfortable.

Executive Double Room with one king or twin bed and private art adorning the walls, antique furniture and the finest linen. En-suite bathroom with shower.

Deluxe Double Room with a queen bed, traditionally decorated. Private art adorning the walls, antique furniture and the finest linen. En-suite bathroom with shower.

Junior Suite with double or twin bed. Traditionally decorated with private arts adorning the walls, antique furniture and the finest linen.

The Suite has an ensuite with shower, an additional washroom and there is also a comfortable seating area with double sofa, chair, table and desk.

Two Bedroom Suite, beautifully decorated, ideal for families or for those requiring a little bit more space.

The master bedroom has a king bed, while the additional bedroom has twin beds. The suite includes two bathrooms, kitchen and dining area, private entrance with video entry phone and security access.

Capital Restaurant

The Capital Restaurant is legendary. Located in Basil Street, in the heart of Knightsbridge, it is currently the only London restaurant situated within a hotel to hold two coveted Michelin Stars. Eric Chavot, the Head Chef, has a following across five continents. His innovative style of cooking is acclaimed by even the most discriminating of restaurant critics.

Capital Bar

Relax in the intimate elegance of The Capital Bar, offering the finest selection of cocktails from champagne through to vodka, cognac & cigars and whisky.

The interior of The Capital Bar is glamorous and sophisticated with inspiration from the seriously famous Harry's Bar in Venice.

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is served daily in the Sitting Room between 3.00pm and 5.30pm.

The perfect way to unwind, Traditional Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed at £18.50 per person or £29.00 per person with a glass of Gosset Champagne to compliment.

Enjoy homemade pastries and scones and delicious jams made from our Pastry Chef Andrew Gravett;

Eaton Suite

Recently refurbished, it is a wonderfully intimate private room, ideal for board meetings, entertaining important clients or for small lunch or dinner parties. The room can be hired for breakfast, lunch or dinner, for meetings, press launches and training days, cocktail and Champagne reception.

Cadogan Suite

Situated on the first floor of the hotel, this room is perfectly suited for hosting business meetings, breakfast, lunch and dinner parties. Set up is available in theatre style or seating around a long rectangular table.

Boardroom style: up to 24 people

Sitting Room

Situated on the ground floor in a quiet corner of the hotel, the Sitting Room is ideal for dinner parties of 12 seated at a round table. The room has natural daylight and it offers a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere.

The Capital Apartments are a selection of contemporary full or part serviced Studio, One Bedroom Apartments and a Two Bedroom Suite available for long and short let.

Situated next door to The Capital hotel and just yards from Knightsbridge underground station and Harrods, they benefit from the hotel services, including room service, housekeeping and 24 hours concierge, maintenance and car parking, but with the added luxury of a private entrance, fully fitted kitchen and clothes washing facilities.
