Dating back to 1865, The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is owned by and named after the family of the Duke of Westminster. Located in the heart of the historic city of Chester, The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is one of the finest hotels in the north-west of England and one of a handful of hotels outside London to be awarded five AA Red Stars.

The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting all the historic sites of Chester, including the Roman walls, amphitheatre and Chester Cathedral. The Chester Grosvenor and Spa also has good road and rail links with Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales.

The Chester Grosvenor's Grade II listed building, with its black and white timbered façade, belies the modern elegance of the hotel interior. The hotel has 66 individually designed bedrooms and 14 stylish suites, all separately designed and beautifully furnished with the finest fabrics.

Rooms

There are four different categories of rooms and all are individually and exquisitely decorated to the highest standard. The Classic rooms have queen-sized beds, Deluxe and Executive rooms have king beds and the majority contain a two-seater sofa and armchair. Some Deluxe and Executive rooms have an entrance vestibule and dressing area. One of our most sumptuous Executive rooms has been modified to be fully accessible for those with limited mobility.

There is a non-smoking policy adopted throughout the hotel including all bedrooms and suites.

Suites

There are three categories of suites: Junior, Deluxe and Master and each is full of character and personality. Spacious and adaptable, they are ideal for the honeymoon couple, the corporate executive or anyone who wants to add something special to their stay.

Presidential Suite

Regarded as the jewel in the crown of The Chester Grosvenor and Spa, the Presidential Suite has refined furnishings in subtle shades of blue and grey in the master bedroom and delicious hues of cream, coffee and chocolate in the sitting room that represents the ultimate in comfort and luxury.

Gym

The Grosvenor gym is bijou in size but equipped with everything you need for a full body workout including rowing machine, exercise bikes, treadmills, free weights and work bench.

The Arkle offers contemporary dining in an atmosphere of supreme elegance and features one of the most extensive wine cellars in England. The Arkle has also retained its Michelin star for the 17th consecutive year.

La Brasserie has a more relaxed, Parisian-style atmosphere - an informal restaurant where you can enjoy coffee or stay for a leisurely meal.

The Library is a comfortable lounge area of understated elegance that serves morning coffee, light lunches and features a traditional afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks and cocktails in the evening.
