The Rubens at the Palace Luxury Hotel & Resort

Book_Button

For a truly royal London experience, why not stay at the closest hotel to Buckingham Palace? Between Chelsea and the Royal Parks, overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace, the traditionally furnished and regally appointed Rubens At The Palace offers a standard of comfort fit for a king.

The Rubens at the Palace, Rooms

The choice of luxury 4-star accommodation at The Rubens is breathtaking: 143 deluxe guest rooms, eight royal rooms, and ten luxurious suites. Whichever room you choose, there are no compromises on comfort, serenity, or a good night's sleep. Many rooms and suites have views over the Royal Mews.

Each room is beautifully furnished and independently air-conditioned. There are bureau desks and, if you want it, a twice-daily maid service. Each room also has complimentary high-speed internet access for your laptop and a state-of-the-art entertainment system including interactive TV, a huge selection of on-demand movies, and a music library.

Classic Double Room
No stay in central London is quite as comfortable or luxurious as a night in one of our Classic Rooms. You can choose from a range of stylish, yet homely decorative schemes with a superb queen-size bed. You'll also enjoy 24-hour room service, movies on demand, deluxe toiletries, and your own tea and coffee-making facilities.

Superior King/Twin Room
Choose a Superior King Room if you need space to stretch out or manage your business affairs. As well as a glorious king-size bed or a pair of single beds, you'll have a spacious desk with swivel chair and all the business stationery and equipment you need. This is the room in which to prepare for a big meeting or wind-down after a day of hectic sightseeing.

Executive King Room
Our Executive King Room is a spacious statement in design. This is the room for lively families (the sofa turns into a bed), active business people, or couples in need of a luxurious break. There's room here for everything: a relaxed sitting area, a desk and chair, and the welcoming rustle of fresh linen on your king-size bed.

Suites
Six Junior Suites, three regally themed Executive Suites, and one Master Suite offer as much space and unrestrained luxury as you need. The Junior Suites are business ready; two of the Executive Suites are split level; and the superb Master Suite has a separate lounge with wide-screen TV.

Junior Suites
A hotel suite makes you feel special. It's not just the space, but the thoughtful extras – marble bathroom, luxurious assortment of toiletries, evening turndown, soft bathrobes, and secure in-room safe – that make our Junior Suites so memorable. These magnificently decorated studio-style suites include a splendid king-size bed, a spacious seating area, and a comprehensive entertainment unit.

Executive Suites
Our designers let their imaginations run free when they decorated our African Queen, Henry VII, and Queen Suites. They brought in rich fabrics and fine furniture to create three unforgettably escapist moods. All three suites features their own sofa sitting area allowing guests to relax. This is luxury on a royal scale.

Master Suite: The King's Suite
Our master suite offers luxury on a lavish scale: a bedroom featuring a magnificent four-poster bed and jacuzzi, plus a separate lounge with dining table, chairs, and an eye-catching animal-print sofa among the soft furnishings. There are antiques, paintings, books, and as much discreet technology as you could wish for. This is your central London hideaway.

Special Rooms
Fabulous Royal rooms in their own private wing, each one themed on a past member of the royal family. Many feature four-poster or canopied beds fit for a king or queen.

Royal Rooms
Our eight Royal Rooms take their design cues from great British monarchs of the past from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Victoria. These are the rooms in which to immerse yourself in the grandeur and opulence of their reigns. Each room is as unique as the era that inspired it. Some feature crystal chandeliers, others have glorious canopies over the beds.

The Rubens at the Palace, Dining

With two restaurants, a separate lounge, two bars (including our new Leopard Champagne Bar), and 24-hour room service, The Rubens gives diners plenty of choice for every occasion – from cocktails, to light snacks, to traditional English afternoon tea, and fine dining.

An extensive buffet style carvery in the Old Masters' Restaurant never fails to satisfy, whereas the more formal Library Restaurant delights with sophisticated A La Carte classics, and an equally impressive selection of the finest wines.

The Palace Lounge is where friends meet for drinks, snacks, or our famous afternoon tea of freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches, and homemade cakes. Its relaxed ambience is perfect watching the activity at the Royal Mews opposite.

Adjoining the lounge is our popular Cavalry Bar, a warm and richly decorated retreat from winter weather. Here you can linger for as long as you like over an inventive cocktail, cold beer, a glass of champagne, or our own ten-year-old Inverarity single malt. In the evenings, our resident pianist creates a mood for carefree laughter and easygoing conversation.

Ideal for entertaining, our newly opened Leopard Champagne Bar provides the finest selection of Champagnes, fine wines, Whiskies, Cognacs and Armagnacs, with light dishes including Sevruga Caviar. Decorated in safari-chic, your conversations will be carried away with it's intimate, exclusive and private atmosphere!

You may also be tempted to try Bbar, offering an South African-themed menu and a wide range of both wines and cocktails. Voted one of the Top Three Bars in the World by British Airways High Life Magazine and recommended by TopTable, it is surely worth the detour!
You even can charge your drinks at Bbar to your account in the Rubens.

The Rubens at the Palace, Special Occasions

Pomp and circumstance surround The Rubens. This part of central London was made for grand celebrations – as was The Rubens, which was built to house the city's aristocratic party-goers and host some of its most glittering balls.

So it's no surprise to discover that The Rubens is still a popular 4-star London venue for fairytale events such as weddings, grand family celebrations, and magical cocktail parties. We're central, our transport connections are superb, and we have a range of spectacular rooms for anything from intimate private dinners to grand party-throwing gestures. Best of all, we have a team of skilled professionals to look after you.

Whatever the event, you will have your own Events Co-ordinator to make sure your function runs as smoothly and as effortlessly as the Changing of the Guard. They will help you choose food and wine and the right sized room for the mood you want to create.
