Dromoland Castle Accommodation
The castle radiates traditional qualities and offers modern luxuries. Every bedroom from the Classic to the Presidential has been exquisitely furnished to provide the highest quality of accommodations combined with modern conveniences. Over the years the décor may have changed but the genuine warmth and hospitality has remained. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, hairdryer, clothes press, personal safe, direct dial telephone, interactive television and laptop connection with free broadband internet access.
Classic Rooms
The Classic rooms are located in the Queen Anne Court which overlooks a charming enclosed garden courtyard. The Cottage Style décor includes specially commissioned wall coverings and drapes. Each room is well-appointed with a sitting area and writing desk for your convenience.
Deluxe Rooms
Deluxe rooms afford additional space for relaxation. Each room is meticulously furnished to compliment the changing colours of the landscape outside your bedroom window. The large proportion of rooms allows one to ease into the Dromoland experience while enjoying the tranquility of their surroundings overlooking the 410 acre estate.
State Rooms
Exquisitely designed to create a stylish and comfortable atmosphere, each Stateroom is individually named to represent the history of the Castle which dates back to the 16th century. These exquisite rooms incorporate soft furnishings and a dining area for your convenience which allows you to enjoy the splendour of the castle in the privacy of your room.
Suites
Executive Suite Each Suite is individually designed with its own unique features and layout. These luxurious rooms offer a large bedroom, comfortable seating in the spacious living room with expansive views of Dromoland Estate. The suites are furnished using the finest of fabrics and soft furnishings which offer the ultimate in comfort.
Presidential Suite The enviably positioned Presidential Suite is located on the 2nd floor of the Castle offering expansive views of the Lake. The furnishings and décor have been specially designed to ensure an ambience of individuality while offering the discerning guest every conceivable luxury. The accommodation in the Presidential Suite includes sitting room, dressing room, 2 bathrooms and a luxurious bedroom with feature window.
Dromoland Castle Dining
Dining at Dromoland is always an occasion. It is also a culinary delight; the quality of the food and service is renowned the world over. There is something special for all tastes: a six-course dinner celebration, an afternoon tea in the Drawing Room or a light snack in the Country Club. All can be enjoyed in wonderfully grand but relaxed settings.
The Earl of Thomond Restaurant offers a relaxed but elegant dining experience. Located on the ground floor, dinner can be enjoyed in an ambience enhanced by the soft music of the Castle's resident harpist. Enjoy breakfast, light lunch and dinner in this wonderful setting. The bill of fare includes a large a la carte menu, a daily table d'hôte menu and a selection of gastronomic menus. Executive Chef McCann's approach is one of simplicity founded on his classical training using the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
The Fig Tree Restaurant offers a wonderful variety of dining from 12 noon to 10pm. The menu and presentation have been created for more informal dining.
For guests preferring the privacy and comfort of their room or suite, the full complement of restaurant menus is offered. Room service is available from 7am to 11pm. A reduced night menu is available from 11pm to 7am.
In accordance with our reputation for fine cuisine, Dromoland's wine list has been meticulously selected to uphold this standard of excellence. Our Sommelier will be happy to discuss or advise as required. For the knowledgeable, or indeed the curious, our Wine Cellar is an Aladdin's Cave of interest and atmosphere. We also offer a wide selection of vintage ports and cognacs to add the finishing touch to your meal.
Formerly the Castle library, the Cocktail Bar at the top of the main Gallery now provides the cosy setting for pleasures of a less literary nature. Open from 10.30am each morning, the bar is a restful haven for daytime refreshments, with tranquil lake views and a gently burning log fire. Candlelight and Irish ballads provide the background for after-dinner drinks to complete your evening.
Dromoland Castle Conference
With 12,000 Square Feet of Floor Space, graceful Gothic architecture, a support team of qualified professionals and five-star banqueting, the Brian Boru International Centre can accommodate almost any type and size of assembly.
The superb Brian Boru Hall can seat 80 - 450 people and is ideally suitable for a wide variety of functions like conferences, dinners, product launches and fashion shows. With extensive props and stunning sound and visual aids, the hall can be dressed in whatever theme is required. It can be transformed from a very elegant dining experience with accompanying orchestra to a cultural theatrical extravaganza.
The appropriately decorated Celt Room and the Norse Room, with seating space for 41 and 28 people respectively, are used for smaller or more specialised presentations, seminars and product launches. The classical Kincora Gallery serves as the reception area for visiting groups.
The Terrace Room located off the mail gallery is equipped with Back screen Projection and has capacity for 70 people in theatre style seating with A/V and 110 people without A/V.
The Drawing Room is located off the lower gallery overlooking the rose gardens and the fountains and is an ideal venue for small meetings from 6 to 20 people.
Spa
We are delighted to announce that our new Spa is currently under construction. This intimate spa will be located within the Castle walls and will consist of 6 treatment rooms (3 of which will be doubles), a relaxation area and an outside Gazebo, which are designed to let you 'chill out' after your treatments. A decision on spa product selection will be made early in the 2007. Guests will be able to pre-book treatments either on-line or directly with the hotel during the coming months.
The existing facility is located in our Golf & Country club, which has 2 treatment rooms with a relaxation area and offers a wide array of Health & Beauty treatments. This will continue until May where our professional staff will help you with each aspect of the health and beauty experience.

- The Dromoland Golf Academy includes 9 driving range bays with 4 bunkered target greens ranging between 100 and 250 metres, and a total length of 300 metres. It also has a fully enclosed teaching bay. The bunker and chipping green offer a number of lies, slopes and grass lengths. The facility is just a 9-iron from the castle's main entrance.
