Mount Juliet Conrad Lodge Accommodation Mount Juliet House  There are 32 bedrooms at Mount Juliet House, including two presidential suites. Each room is individually designed, in keeping with the concept of a private, family home. Each room is also named, drawing inspiration from the history of the state. To compliment all of the services provided by the staff of the house, all guest rooms have fresh fruit and flowers, while in the evening as you prepare for dinner, the beds are turned down, the lamps are lit and the drapes drawn. Awarded AA Hotel of the Year in 1999 and Georgina Campbell's Hotel of the Year 2007 Mount Juliet Conrad provides the highest international standards in food and service in a wonderfully relaxed and welcoming way. Hunters Yard and Club Rooms  The Hunters Yard has 16 'Club' style rooms. These bright and airy rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences and are ideal for guests who wish to stay within easy access of The Spa or who prefer the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of the Hunters Yard. The Rose Garden Suites  The Rose Garden Suites at Mount Juliet Conrad are spectacular in summer, surrounded by carefully tended herbaceous borders in the adjacent walled-garden. Each suite has two ensuite bedrooms, TV and telephone, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. The Rose Garden Suites offer the best of both worlds to guests. Choose between the luxury of a complete hotel service or simply do things in your own way. Ideal for guests who require more space and privacy. The Paddocks  The Paddocks, which offer similar facilities to those in the Rose Garden Suites, consist of two and three bedroom houses close to the tenth tee, just five minutes from the Hunters Yard. They provide every luxury and convenience, a home from home feeling where guests can come and go as they please.
Golf Signature Course  Opened in 1991 with a match featuring golfing legends Christy O'Connor Snr. and Jack Nicklaus, the beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for Top Professionals and leisure golfers worldwide. Mount Juliet has hosted many major golfing events and welcomed the return of the World's Top 50 golfers to play in the World Golf Championship - American Express Championship in October 2004. The event was a fantastic success with the crowds turning up in their thousands. The holder, Tiger Woods, survived an early injury scare to put up a sterling defence of his title but he and the remainder of the field had to acknowledge the brilliance of South African golfing superstar Ernie Els who finished with a stunning 18 under par total of 270 to edge out Thomas Bjorn on the last green. Other events include the Irish Opens of 1993-95 along with the Shell Wonderful World of Golf match between Tom Watson and Fred Couples in 1998. The par 72, 7300 yard layout boasts rolling fairways, many feature water hazards and contoured greens, all superbly blended into the spectacular setting of this famous old Irish Estate. Chosen as the first and only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Ireland, the "Golden Bear" was meticulous and pain-staking in his design and overseeing of the construction of his great creation, sited 12 miles south of the medieval city of Kilkenny. Feature holes abound on the course, but the 3rd hole, a stunning par 3 from an elevated tee to a green guarded by a natural stream and lake is one that golfers always remember. The par 5 10th hole with its copse of trees which tests the golfers strategy is also a favourite. The final hole, a long par 4 with water all down the left and a narrow approach to the green has decided many a tournament result. In preparation for the WGC - American Express Golf Championship that was held here in September 2002 and again in 2004, the Jack Nicklaus design team instigated some extensions and new features to the course, showing Mount Juliet’s continued pursuit of golfing excellence. Mount Juliet Conrad Lodge The Spa  The Ultimate in pampering and rejuvenation. The Spa provides the perfect escape from the stresses and strains of modern living. The Spa, which uses the prestigious E-SPA range of products offers traditional and alternative health and beauty treatments in a discreet and luxurious environment. Try La Stone Therapy from Arizona where heated basalt stones and chilled marble are incorporated into an aromatherapy massage to invigorate and relax the body. The Dead Sea Discovery Flotation Room is deeply relaxing and helps lower blood pressure, while floating in zero gravity and helps to disperse stress. The Spa is complemented by a fully equipped Health Club including a 15 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Mount Juliet Conrad Lodge Dining Dining Room  The Lady Helen Dining Room at Mount Juliet House is unique, both for the panoramic views it enjoys over the estate and the river Nore, and for the detailed stucco work that has decorated its walls and ceilings for centuries. Here a variety of international dishes are prepared by our talented chef Richard Stratton using fresh produce and herbs, picked daily from the estate's own herb and vegetable gardens. Gourmet dining and superb service are complemented by an extensive list of fine wines and spirits. Awarded RAC Blue Ribbon 4 Stars and 2 AA rosettes. After dinner, guests are invited to retire to the warm atmosphere of the Tetrarch Bar and reception rooms, where log fires burn brightly in original Adams fireplaces. Kendals Restaurant  Kendals, situated in the Hunters Yard, is uniquely designed, balancing old world elegance with a contemporary charm. The appeal of Kendals is to be found not only in our attentive, friendly crew, but also in the spacious, yet intimate, interior with its panoramic views of the golf course. Relax and enjoy our extensive buffet breakfast at your leisure. As the sun sets over the estate, sample some of the sumptuous dishes from our evening menu, with a bottle of wine from our hand picked wine list. Come and enjoy a delicious three course menu every Sunday from 12.30pm to 4pm in Kendal’s restaurant for €22.95 per person. And what better way to finish it off than with a relaxing stroll around our beautiful 1500 acre estate. Presidents Bar  Dining at the Hunters Yard is a very relaxed affair. The Presidents Bar is a lively venue, where light dishes are served throughout the day. Here you can enjoy views of the golf course & practice putting greens from the veranda. Meetings  The estate is a haven of peace and tranquility, with the perfect ambience to focus minds, communicate ideas and achieve business objectives. There are a wide range of conference facilities, from the Caretaker’s Room in the main house to a choice of rooms at the Hunters Yard. The meeting rooms offer complete blackout facilities, temperature control, air conditioning and sound proofing. Mount Juliet Conrad Lodge Activities Enjoy the Estate on Horseback  Mount Juliet has always been synonymous with horses. Close to Mount Juliet House, the Iris Kellett Equestrian Centre, stables horses and ponies which are available for basic and advanced tuition, show jumping, trail riding through the grounds and cross-country jumping on the estate's own challenging course. With the freedom of 1500 secluded acres to enjoy, Mount Juliet provides an exhilarating equestrian experience which visitors never forget. Also within the boundaries of the estate is Ballylinch Stud, where the McCalmont family, bred many world famous racing horses including The Tetrarch, once known as "the fastest horse in the history of the turf". Fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Trout  In a country famous for the quality of its angling, it is still rare for visitors to achieve the combination of delights found along the banks and in the clear waters of the rivers that meander through Mount Juliet Estate. Clay Target Shooting  The expert and the beginner are equally catered for at our professionally designed clay shooting school. We provide all equipment and full tuition. To emulate a country lifestyle, why not indulge in a spot of clay pigeon shooting or archery? Clay shooting is a sport that can be enjoyed all year round by individual guests or groups of up to 12. The layout we provide is for sporting clays. Archery  Our archery ground, in a woodland setting, provides a relaxing introduction to this ancient skill. All equipment and full tuition is provided. Archery is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages from age 6 upwards. Health Club  Mount Juliet Leisure Centre is situated in the Hunters Yard.
