The G Hotel, Ireland Vacations, Honeymoons and Luxury Travel Packages Galway, Ireland  The g experience  From the moment you step inside the g you know that you are in a uniquely special place, it is one which evokes not only old-fashioned Hollywood glamour but also the hotel's location near the romantic coastline of Galway. The dark and intimate reception area sets the tone, with black glass walls acting as a frame for a tank of Connemara-bred seahorses and bespoke concierge wall, designed by Philip Treacy. Covered in white Venetian plaster and reminiscent of a seashell, this is a hint of the surprises to come. The public areas of the g on the ground floor extends to over 18,000 sq ft with three individually styled and themed lounges and a restaurant, all linked by a raspberry carpeted corridor. The impression is of walking through a particularly glamorous dolls house, with golden doorways framing the entrance to each room. From the exquisite Grand Salon to the distinctively pink Pink Salon and more masculine Blue Lounge , the g offers a stunning environment to meet and relax. The G Hotel Grand Salon  Glancing left as they arrive in the hotel guests enjoy the full impact of the suite of public rooms that leads from reception - independent spaces that flow into each other, linked by a raspberry carpeted catwalk. First is the double height Grand Salon. This exquisite room with floor to ceiling windows offering views across Lough Atalia also boasts a stunning light installation by Tom Dixon. The installation adds to the drama of views from outside the building. The room's oyster and silver tones makes the most of the West of Ireland light. The sense of wonder is only enhanced by thousands of Swarovski crystals which fill the perspex occassional tables and dance as they catch the light. The G Hotel Pink Salon  The Pink Salon, distinctively pink, is destined to become the g’s ‘signature’ room. With its Andy Warhol camouflage print fabric-covered chairs and black-and-white vortex hand woven carpet, it conveys a sense of 1940s and 50s glamour. The G Hotel Blue Lounge  A more masculine approach has been taken to the design of the Blue Lounge, with deep blue walls framed by golden doorways. The purple and toffee velvet furniture invite guests to linger and enjoy the constant visual surprises – from hand-picked artwork and gilded mirrors to art deco light fittings. Rooms  If the guest’s introduction to the g hotel is through its wildly glamorous public rooms, the guestrooms are havens of intimacy and sensuality. Each guestroom has the distinctive Philip Treacy touch, evident in the detail as well as in the overall effect – which is one of stylish originality and supreme comfort. Philip’s choices – from the wallpaper, lighting and artwork to the furniture and flooring – have been inspired by the landscapes and seashores of County Galway. The colours, textures and materials used reflect this heritage and tradition, but are also effortlessly contemporary. The g hotel offers a total of 101 guestrooms including 3 speciality suites - the Evangelista suite, the Corner suite, the Atrium suite, 16 Luxury suites and 10 Junior suites. The remaining rooms are either of a superior or deluxe standard. Whichever room or suite is chosen, guests will enjoy sensational bathrooms, many with showers built for two, and cutting-edge in-room entertainment. Above all, it is the thoughtful unpretentious service – including a team of dedicated Butlers – that will make each guest’s stay at the hotel a truly red carpet experience. Guestroom Comforts :
Restaurant  Our restaurant, Riva at the g, is set to become Galway’s most talked about restaurant, perfect for both guests and locals. The restaurant at the g, seating 70, offers contemporary Italian cuisine with some international favourites added to cater for the many international travellers visiting the g. The g’s distinctive approach to design is carried through to the restaurant, with banquettes in purple velvet and jewel-coloured Andrew Martin chairs. Bar  Serving bespoke ‘g hotel’ cocktails as well as more familiar favourites, the g’s Cocktail Bar is deliciously decadent. A carpet of thousands of Red Swarovski crystals adorns the bar itself is a distinctive feature, and one that guarantees a glamorous start – or finish – to any evening.
ESPA at the g  World leaders in Spa design and product, ESPA has developed the total concept and design of this five star ESPA at the g, working closely with architects and designers Douglas Wallace. ESPA at the g's design reflects a relaxed timelessness of contemporary elegance. In keeping with the overall design philosophy developed by Philip Treacy, nothing has been spared in its beautiful design and the superior quality of its finishes. Stone, wood, linen and glass are used in complementary new ways with subtle, warm colours. Mood enhancing lighting is used to calm and comfort, creating a sense of spiritual retreat. Guests are invited to re-connect with their senses through the gentle sounds of music and water, the fragrance of fresh flowers and scented candles, the grounding element of wood flooring, the patterns and textures of rich materials and the taste of a warming tisane. An extensive treatment list will be available for both hotel residents and day visitors, using ESPA’s fantastic products. Alternatively, guests may simply reserve time to relax in ESPA at the g's luxurious environment. ESPA at the g is located on the upper two floors of the hotel and includes a ‘secret’ bamboo garden on the roof. It also has heat treatment rooms, a vitality pool and a glass pavilion. Spa details
