The Merrion Hotel Accommodations
Bedrooms and Suites
Many of the classically elegant rooms in the contemporary Garden Wing overlook the box hedges and lush flowerbeds of the landscaped period Gardens.
The Restoration of The Merrion demanded the highest standards and the designers' brief was both simple and clear - "To create a space with sensitivity to the 18th century heritage of the building, with light and airy bedrooms."
As a result, the 122 guest rooms and 20 suites are the epitome of elegance and also supremely inviting and comfortable.
The interior is designed using Irish fabrics and antiques to reflect the architecture and original interiors of the 18th Century Townhouses.
The Penthouse
The Merrion, has recently opened the doors of its exclusive Penthouse.
With views over the Dublin skyline, The Merrion Penthouse provides unparalleled security and privacy, whilst offering the luxurious five-star comfort, services and facilities for which The Merrion has become legendary. The Merrion Penthouse provides a living space of approximately 2,800 sq ft split across two floors and a separate 1,000sq ft rooftop terrace complete with cedarwood hot tub.
Aidan Cavey, one of Irelands leading interior designers, has utilized fabrics and furnishings from some of the world's most exclusive design houses to provide an interior that is calm, luxurious and elegantly welcoming.
The Merrion penthouse comprises of two bedrooms, each with an ensuite Italian Carerra Marble bathroom. An elegant staircase leads to the beautifully furnished top floor, with an open-plan living space, state of the art entertainment area with surround-sound audio and TV and a dining area offering spectacular views over Dublin and the hotel gardens below.
A further room off the main living area can be used as a study, private meeting room, gymnasium or as accommodation for security personnel if required.
To ensure maximum privacy, the Merrion Penthouse faces the hotel's interior garden and is surrounded on all sides by subtle fencing, potted bay trees and box hedges.
Bedrooms
Classically elegant rooms in the contemporary Garden Wing of The Merrion Hotel overlook the box hedges and lush flowerbeds of the landscaped period Gardens. There are echoes of gracious Georgian style in the authentic design of the fabrics selected for each room and in the exquisite detail of the furniture.

A warm welcome always awaits in The Cellar Bar. Located in the original 18th Century wine vaults, with its bare bricked walls and vaulted ceilings, The Cellar Bar is an intrinsic part of Dublin's vibrant social scene.
The Cellar Bar features fifty carefully selected vintages, available by the glass.
Furthermore, to complement the extensive wine offering, executive chef, Ed Cooney, has devised mouthwatering lunch and evening menus prepared simply with plenty of Merrion style.

The Cellar Restaurant
The Cellar Restaurant at The Merrion Hotel received the 'Best Hotel Restaurant in Dublin' award at the coveted Food and Wine Magazine Restaurant of the Year Awards 2005. Dedicated to delivering the finest, seasonal Irish ingredients, whilst providing atmosphere, superb service, reasonable prices and most of all, good simple pleasure.
The Cellar Restaurant offers diners a variety of options: two and three course table d'hote menus at lunchtime as well as A la Carte choice in the evening. The restaurant is a popular choice with hotel guests and Dubliners alike.

Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud
Ireland's most award winning restaurant, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, is situated in the stunning surroundings of The Merrion Hotel with magnificent views overlooking The Merrion's delightful gardens.

The Drawing Rooms

Located in the former home of the 1st Duke of Wellington, The Merrion offers the most impressive rooms available in Dublin for important business meetings.
