7 Days Tailor Made Ireland: The Emerald Coast Tour Package Duration: 7 Days / 6 Nights Priced From: Call Travelwizard

View the barren landscape of The Burren, the majestic beauty of the Cliffs of Moher and the green fields between Kenmare and Dublin that have rightfully earned Ireland the name the "Emerald Isle." When you are in Dublin, Design Your DaySM with visits to art galleries or stops in shops and cafés.
Tour Itinerary Day 1 Arrive at Shannon Airport and drive to your hotel in County Kerry, a wonderful destination to explore as a family. Warm Gulf Stream waters make the beaches an inviting spot for a swim or a sand castle, while puffins nest on the windswept islands.
Day 2 Join your driver-guide this morning to explore the narrow mountain pass of the Gap of Dunloe by private pony and trap. Following the ride, continue to Lord Brandon's Cottage, from which you take a boat across Lake Killarney. Return to Kenmare for a private chocolate-making lesson or a pottery workshop.
Day 3 Take a two-hour cruise around beautiful Kenmare Bay, where hundreds of gray and common seals and their pups congregate around the rocks. The rest of the day is set aside for a different kind of expedition: souvenir-hunting in the shops of Kenmare. If you prefer, your guide can take you around the Beara Peninsula, where many Irish cheeses are made, or to Bantry Bay, where a short boat ride will take you to the Ilnacullin Gardens.
Day 4 Leave Kenmare this morning and drive to the estuary of the Shannon, where you visit the Foynes Flying Boat Museum. Here, you tour a replica of the 'Yankee Clipper,' one of the Boeing 314 seaplanes used for the first transatlantic flights in the 1930s. Later, cruise along the unspoiled coast of County Clare. The beauty of this picturesque route can be truly appreciated only from the water.
Day 5 Drive northwest through County Clare to the Atlantic Coast to see the 600-feet tall Cliffs of Moher. From here, make your way back to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Bunratty was built in 1425 and is decorated to give an authentic impression of what 15th-century living was like. Travel forward in time to the 19th century with a visit to Folk Park, a replica of a small Irish country town. Visit the post office and the school, and enjoy a fresh-baked scone from a local "villager."
Day 6 Spend your last full day enjoying the activities available near the hotel: learn the art of archery, or take a walk on the grounds with a falconer, who introduces you to falconry and gives you the chance to handle a hawk. For a more relaxing day, perhaps go fishing, or cycle to the nearby village of Adare.
Day 7 Return to Shannon Airport for your flight home.
