Next, drive east to the Grand Canyon, one of the natural wonders of the world. Continue on to the red mesas and buttes of Monument Valley, then explore the countless canyons in Canyonlands National Park. On to Arches National Park, famous for its 2,000 natural sandstone arches, and Capitol Reef National Park to see the “Waterpocket Fold,” a 100-mile-long wrinkle in the earth’s crust. Continue to Bryce Canyon National Park, where erosion has created colorful formations called “hoodoos,” then to the towering cliffs of Zion National Park. Return to Las Vegas to drop off your rental car and conclude your memorable vacation.
