America's Cup 2013, The Ultimate Yacht Race Tour Vacation

America’s Cup

San Francisco Bay will be home to the 2013 America’s Cup Finals and the Louis Vuitton Cup in the summer of 2013, America's Cup Challenger Series. Additionally, there will be two America’s Cup World Series events in San Francisco in 2012.

This marks the first time the America’s Cup has been hosted in the United States since 1995.

The 34th America's Cup brings the competition for the oldest trophy in international sport back to the United States for the first time in 18 years. And it does so in style, with exciting new boats, a new format for the racing, and television and web coverage that takes the viewer into the racing as never before.

There are two new classes of boats; both will be more powerful, more demanding of the crews and faster than anything seen at the America's Cup to date. The AC45 catamarans will be raced in the America’s Cup World Series regattas. They have been designed to give new teams an opportunity to learn wing-sailed multihulls as they design and build their own AC72 - the revolutionary catamarans that will be raced in the Louis Vuitton Cup and America's Cup in 2013.

Sailing the America’s Cup racing waters – San Francisco Bay

Our guests will have the opportunity to learn how to sail at the location of the actual racing for the America’s Cup 2013, the beautiful San Francisco Bay.  Instruction will be provided by Captain Al Spector, the founder and owner of the Marin Sailing School.   Al brings a highly personalized sailing instruction delivered in combination with fine hospitality, including gourmet catering featuring Napa Valley wines.  Learn to sail or advance your sailing skills through our personalized approach that affords you a superior experience in this world-class sailing venue.
