Superior Guestroom : Each Superior Guestroom overlooks a garden or fountain courtyard, evoking Tuscany from years ago. Premium Guestroom : Designed for the utmost comfort, each of these elegantly understated Tuscan-style rooms is outfitted with a king-size bed (twin and double beds are available), and a writing desk with dual-line phone and high-speed Internet port. Most feature a semi-private patio with French doors. Connecting guestrooms/suites are also available. 

Deluxe Guestroom : Tuscany meets Bel-Air in these deluxe, soothingly stylized rooms appointed with signature Italian linens and rich fabrics, marble and wood details, and hand-selected accessories. Grand Deluxe Guestroom : A charming Mediterranean atmosphere unites the outdoors and the indoors exquisitely appointed with our hand-selected furnishings, Alicante marble, European linens, rich carpets, and customized king-size bed. Hotel Bel-Air Resort Our Gracious Gardens

It’s not uncommon for Bel-Air guests to walk our 12-acre sanctuary awe-struck by the hundreds of plants, flowers, trees, and botanical wonders that grace the property. Stroll hand in hand along cobbled paths, pausing to admire the 60-year-old lonchocarpus tree’s thick branches that seemingly burst through the Restaurant Terrace's canopy. Marvel at the 12-foot-tall bird of paradise tree, ancient sycamores, bright yellow blooms of a tipu tree, an Irish ewe tree and a 200-year-old California live oak. A vivid koi pond in the Chalon Courtyard along with aromatic peach, lemon, orange, and apricot trees add to our lustrous leitmotif. 

Hotel Bel-Air boasts some of the most stunning landscaping in the world—grounds that have evolved since the early 1940s, when the original proprietor envisioned a hotel with lush gardens, an ethereal Swan Lake, and a distinctive oval swimming pool. Our oasis-like surroundings and elegantly comfortable rooms create a special sanctuary for new and returning guests—as well as a home for indigenous wildlife such as the colorful hummingbirds that busy themselves among the redwoods and tree ferns.

Additionally, Hotel Bel-Air's Spanish colonial architecture is complemented by ficus and fragrant orange blossom trees that enrobe the pink stucco buildings, red tile roofs, and a majestic bell tower, wrapped with the red flowers of a trumpet vine.

Fitness Bungalow

If the culinary delights of our kitchen leave you ridden with guilt, take heart in our 24-hour-accessible fitness center. Housed in an adorable, remodeled bungalow once preferred by Marilyn Monroe during her many visits to the hotel, our state-of-the-art fitness center offers the full gamut of cardiovascular and muscle-toning equipment—treadmills, Lifecycles, and free weights. Custom workouts with personal trainers, yoga sessions, and other specialties can be arranged through the concierge.

The Piano Bar
“Meet me at the Bel-Air Bar,” has become the buzz phrase among young L.A. A-listers, celebrities, and loyal locals who fill the handsome room from early evening ’til the wee small hours. Savor our extensive wine collection, with more than 45,000 exceptional bottles and 1,600 labels, in The Restaurant, the privacy of your room or suite, or at one of our popular WINEMAKER DINNERS.

Wine Terrace
We also invite you to join us on our Wine Terrace, perched above the hotel’s private Herb Garden, to sample some of the outstanding wines, Champagnes, cognacs, and ports of the world. At once cozy and chic, the Wine Terrace is the perfect spot for an engaging private tasting—paired with cheeses and charcuterie—with room for two dozen guests. A handcrafted tasting table, inviting furnishings, and conversation-starting winemaking antique tools complete this veritable tree house for oenophiles.

Wine Events
Our passion for wine, paired with our passion for food, has inspired us to expand our wine dinner program. Each season, we invite our friends in the wine industry to host multi-course wine pairing dinners in our private dining room or in the gardens. Our Chefs work closely with each winery to select wines that complement each course exquisitely. Our winemaker dinners are enjoyable and informative for both wine connoisseurs and beginners looking to learn more about pairing wine with food.
