The Spa at Ballantyne has an array of soothing and revitalizing head-to-toe body care services.  The par 71, 5-Star golf course is masterfully designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels.  Professional Tennis and Golf instruction are available for individuals and group outings.  Additional recreational offerings include an extensive health facility featuring Cybex equipment.

Gallery Restaurant, a classic yet contemporary take on American fare, redefines upscale dining for Charlotte.  A distinguished art collection establishes the sophisticated ambience of regionally inspired cuisine served in a refined setting.

Ballantyne Resort is set in the lovely 2,000 acre Ballantyne Community of south Charlotte, which is home to the Ballantyne Corporate Park and sophisticated shopping & dining options and some of Charlotte's premier real estate.  Within 18 miles of Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Downtown Charlotte and prestigious SouthPark, Ballantyne Resort is easily accessible and convenient to the region's exciting attractions, entertainment and recreational venues.

Guest Rooms

The Ballantyne Resort experience begins with a restful night's sleep in one of our luxurious guest rooms designed specifically with your comfort in mind.  The information below describes our resort rooms, for information on The Lodge group retreat accommodations. 

Bedroom Decor : Upon entering the room you will immediately recognize the marble entrance, 10 foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling picture window that floods the room with natural light. Lush fabrics, wall coverings and curtains are enriched by a bright palate of gold, cream, yellow, sage and sienna.  Our finest adornment is the Luxury Pillow-Top Palatial Bed with luxurious Egyptian Cotton linens and your choice of foam or feather pillows.  The room decor is complete with a large armoire and executive desk, custom designed by Montague of London. 

Room Amenities : All guest rooms are equipped with Wireless Internet, High-Speed and Dial-Up options that can easily be accessed at a nominal fee.  In-room movies and games are available for purchase on the television, which also has local channels and a 24-hour news and weather channel provided by Time Warner Cable.  As an added convenience, each room has two telephones, both of which can be programmed for direct dial and personalized messaging.  Dual closets are located within the rooms entrance and contain a safe that can hold a laptop, two signature Ballantyne robes, iron with ironing board, laundry bags for valet laundry service and satin and wooden hangers.  Refreshment centers with beverages and snacks are also located within the room's entrance.  All guest rooms are secured by Saflok system and have a secondary swing latch.

Bathroom Decor and Amenities : Classic double-doors open to a spacious marble bathroom featuring a large oval soaking bath, separate seamless glass shower, marble vanity with heated fog-free mirror, make-up/shaving mirror, hair dryer and refreshing bath products by Gilchrist & Soames.

Parlor Suites : In addition to the decor and amenities mentioned above, Ballantyne Resort has Parlor Suites, each with over 700 sq ft of luxury including: a master bedroom with a connecting Parlor/living area that can be left open or closed and locked, private balcony, Bose Wave CD/Radio, full-size sleeper sofa which is located in the Parlor room and a second armoire with television, a second telephone, executive desk, full bath and additional dual closet space.

Presidential Suites : The Presidential Suites are each over 1200 sq ft and have grand double doors leading to luxurious marble foyers.  Guests enjoy sweeping views of the resort from a private terrace.  Additional accents include flat screen plasma and an LCD television, Bose Wave CD/Radio, an inviting living room with faux fireplace, custom furnishings, original artwork, hardwood accents, damask curtains, antique dining table that seats 12 for entertaining, kitchen with full-size refrigerator & dishwasher & 1.5 baths. The master bath is completed with a walk-in closet, dual vanity, garden soaking tub, separate walk-in shower and upgraded bath amenities.

Room Types : Deluxe King and Deluxe Two Doubles have a view of the Ballantyne Community. Deluxe rooms are often referred to as Sunset View rooms and overlook Ballantyne Village and Ballantyne Corporate Park.

Grand Deluxe King and Grand Deluxe Two Doubles have a beautiful view of the 18th Fairway and Resort. Grand Deluxe rooms are often referred to as Golf View and are considered an upgraded room.

Parlor Suites are located on almost every floor. Sunset View or Golf View Parlor Suites can be requested but not guaranteed.

Presidential Suites are located on the 6th and 7th floors and are both golf view. Both Presidential's have the same upgraded amenities, however the colors and furnishings vary.

Accessible Rooms are available and equipped with visual and audible accessories.  Accessible rooms have lowered room locks and viewing portals. Some baths have roll-in showers and some consist of a standard bath/shower combination with hand-rails. Please specify your request at the time of your reservation.  All accessible rooms have a king bed and do not connect with another guest room.  A rollaway can fit comfortably in the accessible room if requested, and a nominal fee will be charged. Public facilities can all be accessed by a wheelchair, and all public signage is dually marked with braille lettering. 

A limited number of smoking rooms are available on the 2nd floor. A limited number of guest rooms with balconies are available by request but cannot be guaranteed.

Connecting and adjoining rooms can be requested but cannot be guaranteed.

At Ballantyne Resort you will find the finest facility, golf course conditions and customer service available in the Charlotte area. If you are considering a golf outing, we are here to exceed your expectations. With full-time Golf Events Coordinators and three PGA Golf Professionals dedicated to planning and executing outings, your group will be in the hands of an expertly trained staff whose primary focus is superior guest service.

Catering and meeting services are available with prior arrangements. Our professionals can help you host a wide variety of receptions, business outings and corporate conferences.

For our corporate clients, we can assist you in conveying a positive image about your company by providing you with the right gift or promotional items to make your tournament or outing a success. By ordering on site you eliminate the inconvenience of order tracking and delivering your merchandise the day of the event. We will do all of that for you. Your tournament gifts and awards will be ready for you when you arrive.

The Wachovia Championship is scheduled from April 30th through May 6th this year. Of course, Charlotte will be all about golf that week! The Power of Botox | Look Young. Feel Younger.
Charlotte Plastic Surgery is pleased to announce that they will provide Botox services at The Spa at Ballantyne Resort.  Every first and third Tuesday of the month, an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon will be on site to perform Botox injections from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Facials, Facial Enhancements, Massage, Baths, Exfoliation, Body Mask & Wrap, Natural Nail Treatments, Hair Services, Mineral Make-Up, Hair Removal 

Tennis

Located by our beautiful Lodge group retreat, adjacent to the first fairway, are three outdoor turf tennis courts for guest use. For individual play, please visit the front desk.  A small access charge will be posted to your room which will allow court access for the duration of your stay (subject to court availability).  The access charge includes tennis equipment for up to two guests.  Additional rackets are charged per racket.  If equipment is not returned a replacement fee will be posted to your settlement on your guest room.  To contract the tennis courts for group use, please contact the Golf Events Coordinator.

Enjoy a refreshing morning swim in our indoor heated grotto pool or swim laps in one of two resistance pools that can be manually set to suit your workout needs.  After a vigorous workout, soothe away muscle tension in the heated whirlpool while enjoying views of the 18th fairway.  The sun patio can be accessed from the pool area and overlooks the golf course.  Sunbathers should note that this patio area is shady in the afternoon.

Fitness Room
The fitness room is adjacent to the pool area & is open 6am until 10pm. Enjoy new Cybex total body care equipment that is exclusive to Ballantyne Resort.

• The health facility is complimentary to all guests and is accessible with your room key.
• Hours of operation are 6am until 10pm daily.

• Please note that lifeguards are not on duty.
• Children 18 years of age and under should be supervised.
• The Grotto Pool Depth ranges from 3.5' to 4.5' and resistance pools are 4.5' in depth.

Walking/Jogging Path
The walking/jogging pathways range from 1.2 to 3.5 miles in distance and begin by the Spa and continue throughout the resort grounds, golf course, Dana Rader Golf School, Lodge at Ballantyne and the Ballantyne Corporate Park. During Spring and Summer, a morning runners relief station, featuring fresh spring water and towels, is available at the resort entrance by the bell stand.  Jogging maps are available at the bell stand.

Gallery Restaurant
Gallery Restaurant, a classic yet contemporary take on American fare, redefines upscale dining for Charlotte.  A distinguished art collection establishes the sophisticated ambience of regionally inspired cuisine served in a refined setting.

Gallery Bar
Enjoy a collection of fine Whiskey, Scotch, Wine and Cocktails.  Additionally Gallery Bar offers a bar menu with tapas, seafood and specialties and the option to order from the Gallery Restaurant menu for dining in the bar.  Seasonal live music will be offered beginning in April for select weekends.

Veranda Bar
The Veranda Bar opens at 4:00 p.m. daily and closes at 11:00 p.m.  Live pianist plays Tuesday - Saturdays.  Enjoy an impressive cocktail selection and appetizers.  The Veranda has magnificant outdoor views of the 18th Fairway and is located in the main Lobby.

Afternoon Tea
Ballantyne Resort offers traditional English style tea in our elegant lobby. A delightful array of savory tea sandwiches, delicious mini muffins and warm scones with Devonshire cream are served fresh from our bakery.  Tuesday - Saturday 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the resort Lobby by Veranda. 

Ballantyne Express is open from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Ballantyne Resort Lobby.  This is a popular alternative for travelers on the go. Enjoy fresh pastries, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee daily. Wireless access is available at a daily charge.

We recommend that you first make an appointment to view our event rooms.  During your appointment, our Catering Managers can review your preliminary ideas and give you the estimated minimum expenses for each event room.  They can also give you resources for additional wedding vendors that you may need during your planning process.
