Our BBQ Series got off to a great start Memorial Day Weekend. The grass is green, the ribs were perfect! Reservations are suggested. For any of our BBQs, if you have a party of 8 or more and want to reserve a table in the shaded area, just give Sandra a call at 415-662-2219. Many of our musical guests are familiar names to most of you. But on Saturday night, July 3rd, we have two great bands that may be one of the highlights of the year. THE CATE BROTHERS, longtime friends of mine and Angela's, will be joined by PAUL THORN and his band. The Cates are from Fayetteville, Arkansas and have been legends in the Ozark Mountains and surrounding States for over 30 years. Ernie is as soulful a singer as you will ever hear. Brother Earl is a unique and gifted musical guitarist. This is a rare West Coast appearance. Paul Thorn is from Tupelo, Mississippi. A fundamentalist preacher's son, he may be as charismatic as any entertainer I've seen. He made his Rancho debut last summer and tore it up. I am responsible for the Marin County Fair's Rhythm & Roots Fest again this year (7/05) and both bands will appear as part of that day as well. If you see these guys once, you'll want to see them again at the Fair - It's that good! Anyhow, everyone here at Rancho Nicasio is excited about the Summer Season and ready to greet you at the door.
