Fort Bragg, Mendocino Coast, California
Fort Bragg, and Fort Bragg Harbor have a history of logging and fishing. Now Fort Bragg is becoming a tourism area like Mendocino but not as expensive, and more commercial.
Fort Bragg harbor is a great place to start. Good seafood, lots of commercial and sportfishing boats, and a nice place to walk out to the beach and cove that the Noyo River empties into.
Ablone divers use Fort Bragg as a jumping off place to launch their zodiac's. The abalone are easy to find both in the north and south of the harbor.
Glass Beach, a popular place to visit used to be the dump, however it has been cleaned up and now has an amazing glass beach of many colors.
The Skunk Train in a tourist attraction now that runs from Fort Bragg through the redwoods and over 30 wooden trestles and bridges, and two tunnels. Train enthusiasts will enjoy this attraction.
Downtown Fort Bragg has a few good restaurants, gift shops, some antigue stores and good shopping.
Just south of Fort Bragg is the Botanical Gardens--a must see attraction on the Mendocino Coast.
