Santa Monica in known for its beautiful Beach, sun bathing beauties, its vollyball, surfing and bicycling. Palisades Park overlooks the Santa Monica Beach and Pacific Ocean.

Note: From May to June the mornings are rather gloomy with a fog and ocean haze, however by noon the strong sun usually breaks through.

Santa Monica is eight miles north of Los Angeles International Airport. It is just over 8 square miles and has eight distinct districts, each featuring its own character and lifestyle options.

The Downtown and Third Street Promenade, sometimes called the Bayside District, has lot of Santa Monica's largest stores and glitzy shops and two farmers’ markets. The Third Street Promenade has no cars and is a huge draw for its interesting street performers, bookstores fun shopping, dining,  and movie theaters.

Ocean Park is a friendly place with culinary arts, good restaurantarts a wide variety of stores, coffee shops, cafes and renowned art galleries

Santa Monica Pier and Ocean Avenue are next to the beach. Santa Monica Pier has a beautiful Carousel and exciting amusement park. Ocean Avenue has an array of prized ocean-view restaurants and hotels.

Mid-City’ Santa Monica has a big variety of opportunities for visitors, great restaurants, nightclubs and pubs.

Main Street offers chic clothing and glitzy design stores, fine art galleries and a weekly farmers.

Montana Avenue is a tree-lined European boulevard amid a residential neighborhood with casual yet luxurious dining and shopping options.

Santa Monica was picked as the best city neighborhood for dining in all of Southern California in 2008 by the Zagat Survey. “California” and “fusion” cuisine was invented in Santa Monica by interesting cultural mixtures.
