Heavenly Valley, Lake Tahoe Ski Vacations and Luxury Travel Packages

Heavenly Valley, Lake Tahoe Ski Vacations Main Draw: More than 300 days of California sunshine a year.
New This Year: A free-ride terrain park for beginners, with jumps and hits sculpted to safely boost skills and egos.
Heavenly Valley, Lake Tahoe's Blue skies and big snows have made Lake Tahoe a beloved playground for generations of Californians. Yet the destination, with 15 resorts and decades of ski history, has lacked a single focal point, as at Aspen or Vail. But that's all changing. The experience at Tahoe's two biggest resorts, Heavenly and Squaw Valley, has been transformed by the addition of two base villages. And Heavenly, long tarnished by outdated facilities, is getting a $300-million spruce-up by new owner Vail Resorts. Unchanged are Heavenly's legendary views: clear skies extending to a horizon of snowy Sierra Nevada peaks, with the blue shimmer of Lake Tahoe below. The resort sits astride the California/Nevada border - ski the California side for dazzling lake panoramas, the Nevada side for drier snow and longer runs.
Featuring more than 13 ski areas surrounding the largest alpine lake in North America, Lake Tahoe combines breath-taking scenery in one of the most beautiful settings on earth along with all the excitement imaginable. Along the north shore, you can experience the Olympic granduer of Squaw Valley, wide open terrain of Alpine Meadows, and exciting, Northstar at Tahoe, while on the famed south shore, scenic Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe, and powder-filled Kirkwood, just to name a few. You will never be at a loss for non-ski activities with an array of dazzling casinos, big name entertainment, and world class restaurants.
