Antique fruits and vegetables are married with pristine seafood and meats provided by artisinal producers and small farmers. We are then free to focus on highlighting the inherent flavors, aromas and textures of these culinary prizes.

The wine cellar is the cherished offspring of the Sackman’s personal wine collection. They have spent years selecting first growth Bordeaux and fine Burgundies, while fleshing out their collection with distinctive and unique wines from America, Italy, Spain and the rest of the world. The Chefs are the new caretakers of these wines and look forward to helping guests locate old favorites and make new discoveries. Our cocktail menu is equally intriguing with its distillation of ingredients and expression of the seasons.

Each meal is focused on flavors, tastes, sensations and aromas. These elements are woven together into individual culinary arrangements, adapted to the time of day and Keyah Grande’s evolutionary environment. For example, intense research was undertaken to find a "perfect" companion to an array of fresh bakery products. The result is Diane St. Claire’s Vermont based Animal Farm butter. Organically produced from six cows, it is sold in such limited quantities that it is served at only three restaurants, Keyah Grande and Thomas Keller's Per Se and French Laundry. Smoked keta salmon caviar made for them by Steve Stallard of blis caviar, is a revelation, especially when crowning blue fin tuna tartare with Calamansi lime-ponzu jelly. A culinary collaboration!

Saddle up and begin to live life in the West. Tour the property and witness wildlife on our hiking trails. For the more adventurous, indulge in a guided horseback or ATV ride. Test your skills at our professional skeet and trap facility or challenge yourself even further on our sporting clay field. Allow our guides to take you fly fishing at our stocked ponds, arrange for a lesson, learn new techniques or just get lost in the serenity of the experience.

The crisp morning air teases you out of bed, quickly awakening senses. Strap on snow shoes or cross country skis for a peaceful tour on miles of trails throughout the property. Take a break by the covered bridge cabin, have lunch and a steamy mug of hot chocolate. Enjoy a guided snowmobile ride and absorb the beauty of Keyah Grande. Come back and soak in winter’s clarity while sitting in our hot tubs which will soothe chilled bones and happily sore muscles.

Colorado’s continued beauty may also be found outside our gates. Arrange for a day fishing the Quality Waters, or harmonize with science and nature on a trip to Chimney Rock or Mesa Verde. Ride the Narrow Gauge Railroad from Durango to Silverton and experience the West as it once was. Become one with Wolf Creek ski area anytime from late October until the end of March.
