The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera Accommodations
In an effort to enhance the resort, The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera is currently undergoing minor renovations (scheduled for completion by December 21, 2007.) During this time The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera is committed to ensuring that all guests have an extraordinary vacation experience. As such, construction has been carefully planned so that all work will have minimal impact on your stay. Thank you, in advance, for your patience.
Inside each of our 56 beautifully appointed rooms, you will find a perfect balance of rustic solitude and contemporary comfort. No detail has been overlooked, from feathery cotton sheets and pillow-top bedding to luxuriant robes and sumptuous bath amenities.
Our standard accommodations are anything but standard. Spacious and individually decorated, they offer one king or two queen beds, and spectacular views of the Sawatch Mountain Range. Other accommodations include deluxe, oversized rooms and suites, featuring balconies or patios, breathtaking mountain views, fireplaces, and either one king or two queen beds.
The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera also offers luxury rental homes, which provide luxurious accommodations, complete privacy, and all the amenities of the world-class lodge and spa.
Lodge Room Spacious and cozy, the 450 square foot Lodge Room has a king or two queen beds and elegant mountain decor. Most have a wood-burning fireplace or terrace with spectacular Rocky Mountain views.
Mountain View with Fireplace This 500 square foot room features a wood- or gas-burning fireplace and a balcony or patio with outstanding Rocky Mountain views. It includes a king or two queen beds and is richly decorated with rich hues of deep sage and Colorado red rock. Maximum occupancy four. Rollaway beds and connecting rooms available for this room type.
Loft Suite The Loft Suite features a king bed downstairs and a queen or two twin beds in the open loft. Perfectly suited for families, the 700-square-foot suite has a wood-burning fireplace, a balcony, cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking mountain views. Maximum occupancy four. Rollaway beds and connecting rooms available for this room type.
Cordillera Suite The 600 square foot Cordillera Suite features a bedroom with king bed and an expansive master bath with tumbled stone and glass; some suites have Jacuzzi tub as well. The suite also includes a separate living room with a wood- or gas-burning fireplace and a balcony or patio with spectacular mountain views. Maximum occupancy two. The Cordillera Suite can be expanded to two- or three-bedroom accommodations but must be booked directly with the hotel.
Luxury Rental Homes The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera also offers luxury rental homes, which provide beautifully appointed accommodations, complete privacy, and all the amenities of the world-class lodge and spa. Rental homes range from three- to six-bedroom homes, located in various communities throughout Cordillera.

Hiking/Walking Hike among the resort’s 17 miles of maintained trails, or grab a map and explore the hundreds of spectacular trails found throughout the Vail Valley. Whether you’re interested in a leisurely stroll through a wildflower-dotted meadow, a moderate hike to a waterfall, or a challenging hike to the top of one of Colorado’s famed “14ers,” you’ll find it all nearby. Mountain Biking Take the Centennial Express Chairlift to the top of Beaver Creek Mountain, and enjoy a spectacular, extensive network of mountain bike trails. A wide variety of guided tours and instruction are available, or you can just cruise the mountain on your own. Other local tours include Vail Pass, Shrine Pass, Boreas Pass, Glenwood Canyon, and Vail Mountain. Choose from a simple bike rental to a fully guided tour including a gourmet picnic lunch.
Fly Fishing Experience the great outdoors and try a hand at fishing in Colorado's rivers and lakes. Professional guides can help improve technique or teach the basic skills of fishing to your group. Comprehensive fly fishing schools are offered, as well as guided wade and float trips.
Whitewater Rafting Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on the Colorado, Eagle, or Arkansas Rivers. Individuals of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy Colorado's rafting season, which runs from May through early October. According to your preferences, your guide can take you through challenging rapids or a relaxing, lazy float trip.
Horseback riding Nestled in a valley within Cordillera, Bearcat Stables specializes in intimate rides of eight or less, from one hour to four days in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Catch glimpses of elk, deer and circling hawks moving through aspen stands and wildflower covered meadows. Ride a beautiful, trustworthy horse selected for your ability level.
Chairlift and Gondola Rides The views from the mountaintop are fabulous, and we encourage everyone to ride the chairlifts or the gondola at some point during a visit to the Vail Valley. Group lift tickets rates are available and vary depending upon the size of the group. (Separate lift tickets are required for Vail and Beaver Creek.)
Swimming The Lodge & Spa offers an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a jacuzzi to relax your muscles after a long day of skiing, hiking or any of the other activities near Cordillera.
Tennis Cordillera features two asphalt courts located at the lodge, reservations are not required. We also feature a tennis center at The Valley Course with two clay courts. This center is available to guests only through private instruction. For more information on private instruction
Rodeos Beaver Creek offers a rodeo every Thursday night during the summer. This exciting event includes activities such as Bull Riding and Mutton Busting! A petting zoo and pony rides are also available all evening.
Jeep Tours Let an experienced guide drive you through the beautiful Colorado high country in a comfortable four-wheel drive Jeep or Hummer. Enjoy day tours of old ghost towns, mining towns, scenic panoramas, and flower-filled meadows. If you want to do the driving yourself, try an exciting ATV adventure. With easy to drive four wheelers, you will explore the historic Camp Hale area, four different mountain ranges, and the Continental Divide.
Sporting Clays Just a short drive away, find a state-of-the-art, twelve-station “sporting clays" course set in some of Colorado’s most dramatic scenery. One of the country’s most challenging courses, it is fully automated and professionally designed. Whether you're an adventurous novice needing instruction or a seasoned shooter, this topnotch sporting clays course has something for you.
Cordy's Camp Cordy's Camp is a summer day camp for children aged 3 to 12. The Trailhead facility of the Clubs at Cordillera turns into the 'Children's Clubhouse', complete with an outdoor pool, water slide, playground, and teepees in the woods. The staff at Cordy's Camp focuses on offering each child the opportunity to experience Colorado and the great outdoors at their peak. Children are able to choose what activities they will participate in each day, whether it's sports and games on the lawn or arts and crafts in the Great Room of the Trailhead. Winter Activities
Acclaimed the world over, Vail and Beaver Creek combined boast nearly 6,300 skiable acres and over 320 trails. But that’s not all. The Vail Valley also offers exciting winter activities such as snowmobiling, sledding, tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, snow-bike riding, and (yes!) hot-air ballooning. .
Skiing at nearby Vail and Beaver Creek From the perfectly groomed beginner and intermediate runs, to the legendary Back Bowls, to the exceptional ski and snowboard schools, Vail and Beaver Creek offer some of the best skiing in the world. As a guest of The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, you can take advantage of our regularly scheduled shuttle service to both Vail and Beaver Creek, and can enjoy the luxurious amenities and ski-in/ski-out convenience of our Cordillera Mountain Club, located at the base of Beaver Creek, due to reopen December 1 2006. Ski rentals can be organized in the privacy of your own room before hitting the slopes
Skier Shuttle Schedule Beginning December 1st, the skier shuttle will depart the Lodge at 8AM and 10AM daily. The shuttle transports guests first to The Cordillera Mountain Club at Beaver Creek, then continues onto Vail. The shuttle departs Vail at 1:30PM and 3:30PM and departs Beaver Creek at 2PM and 4PM to return to The Lodge. Please contact the concierge for further details and to sign up for the shuttle.
Edwards Dining Schedule Beginning December 1st, the dining shuttle will provide dinner service to Edwards and the Timber Hearth Grill for guests of The Lodge. The shuttle operates Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6PM until 11PM. All shuttle services require advance reservations, so please book with the front desk upon check in.
Cross-country Skiing and Snowshoeing Make tracks to the Nordic Center at The Ranch and enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing activities, including lessons, races, and moonlight tours. Explore the resort’s 11 km of maintained trails, or numerous additional trails found throughout the Vail Valley (maps available at the Nordic Center). Instruction is available upon request.
Sleigh Rides Enjoy a starlit sleigh ride through spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery at Cordillera. Relax to the sound of sleigh bells and horses prancing, while sipping hot drinks under warm, cozy blankets. Complete your evening with world-renowned cuisine served fireside in the mountain lodge setting of Cordillera's Timber Hearth Grille. Sleigh rides are also available in Beaver Creek. Ride up Beaver Creek Mountain behind a snowcat and then enjoy Dinner. Dine, a AAA Four Diamond award-winning five course meal, at Beano's Cabin. Reservations are required, so please contact the concierge.
Dog Sledding Glide across the glimmering snow one one of our unique dogsled tours. Available mornings and afternoons in the Cordillera area enjoy a seven mile, two hour trip. Two people are allowed per sled, and transportation is included. For reservations, contact the concierge.
Snowmobile Tours Experience a snowmobile tour through the scenic backcountry of Colorado. Tours range from a two-hour tour, including a hot cocoa break, to a full day of playing in the "powder stashes" and cruising the high ridges at over 10,000 feet. Ice Skating Guests can skate year-round at the rink, located in the heart of the Beaver Creek Village Plaza. The 150 by 65-foot rink is open daily, and a zamboni prepares the ice every three hours. Skate rentals are available.
