The Point is a member of Relais and Chateaux; recently received the Mobil 5 Star Award honoring the finest hotels and resorts in the U.S. The Point is an eleven room resort located on the shores of Upper Saranac Lake. We can be reached in six hours from Manhattan; two-and-a-half hours from Burlington, Vermont; and three hours from Albany, New York. There are no phones or televisions in any of our guest rooms, however we do have phones available for guest use. Our rates include all meals, wines & spirits and activities on the property.

Eleven distinctive guest quarters are spread among four buildings. Each room has a broad lake view, custom-made beds, and spacious private bath. All contain an eclectic mixture of antiques and Adirondack furniture, and all have huge fireplaces. Each room manages to be both splendid and unpretentious, a place for quiet mornings or reflective evenings.

We dine family style at set times with a pre-fixe menu, the wines are selected to complement the meals. We would need to know of any dietary restrictions or food allergies prior to arrival. If you prefer, you may dine in front of the fireplace in your room, or have a picnic lunch packed for you to take on a hike or canoe trip.

Activities include hiking, fishing, bicycling, boating, camping, golf, hunting, horseback riding, foliage/leaf tours, snow skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, water skiing, lake swimming, tennis, sunset cocktail cruises, picnics, volleyball, backyard croquet, horseshoes and badminton.
