Deluxe Rooms
Features period reproduction furnishings that are consistent throughout, including a large armoire, with a television an VCR and DVD player, an Italian marble bath, telephone with data port for pc and facsimile connections, complimentary high-speed Internet access, voice messaging, hairdryer, bathrobes, and iron and ironing board. All rooms have one king size bed or two double beds.

Executive Level
The Executive Level features early American design with period reproductions. The bathrooms are enhanced with Italian marble and brass fixtures. In room amenities include telephone with data port for pc and facsimile connections, complimentary high-speed Internet access, voice messaging, hairdryer, bathrobes, TV/VCR/DVD, in-room safe, and iron and ironing board. All are non-smoking rooms.  

The rooms on this level come with either king size bed or two double beds.  

Private Club Floor
The Club Level is located on the top two floors of the hotel and are by private access only. Furnished with a rich mahogany armoire, writing desk and a king or two double beds, the rooms have a soft glow from the rich creams and gold tapestry. The bathrooms are done in botticini marble and brass fixtures. The Club Level rooms offer a sophisticated, neo-traditional early American design with period reproduction furnishings. Rooms feature large, freestanding armoires that hold the 26 inch television and serve as the principle closet area. 

Living room furnishings include a Martha occasional chair, an executive style desk and chair set, and include an easily accessible dual line telephone with data port and facsimile connections, along with voice messaging. In addition, all rooms have complimentary high speed Internet access. The Club level also offers use of the Club Lounge serving continental breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and after dinner cordials and desserts.  

The rooms on the Private Club Floor offer the best views of Charleston.

Senior Suite
The Senior Suite is a newly renovated oversized room with French door that leads into a parlor. The parlor, the size of one guest room, is beautifully appointed with living room style furnishings, a dining table, wet bar, and a chandelier. The large bathroom is enhanced with Italian marble and brass fixtures and has a separate soaking tub, dual vanity sink, and walk in shower. 

The Senior Suite is generously allocated over approximately 800 sq. feet.

Other room amenities include two telephones with data ports for pc and facsimile connections, an executive style desk and chair set, voice messaging, hair dryer, bathrobes, and iron/ironing board, in-room safe, two TV/VCR/DVD sets, and complimentary high speed Internet access.

Junior Executive Suite
The Junior Executive Suite is a king bedded suite. This suite is an oversized room with French doors that lead into a parlor. The parlor, the size of one guest room, is beautifully appointed with living room style furnishings. The large bathroom is enhanced with Italian marble and brass fixtures. Room amenities include two telephones with data ports for pc and facsimile connections, executive style desk and chair set, voice messaging, hair dryer, bathrobes, and iron/ironing board, two TV/VCR/DVD sets, In-room safe and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

The Junior Executive Suite is approximately 800 sq. ft. 

Junior Suite
These enlarged rooms feature an offset living area, which includes a large couch and easy chairs surrounding a coffee table. A large reproduction armoire serves as the focal point of the room furnishings. The large bathroom is enhanced with Italian marble and brass fixtures. Room amenities include two telephones with data port for pc and facsimile connections, an executive style desk and chair set, voice messaging, hair dryer, bathrobes, and iron/ironing board, TV/VCR/DVD, In-room safe, and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

Parlor Suite
The living room of the Parlor Suite is 400 square feet, and features a dining table with a crystal chandelier that seats up to eight people, a wet bar and a mini–refrigerator. 

The parlor connects to an adjoining king guest room on one side and a double bedded guest room on the other. Connecting room amenities include telephone with data port for pc and facsimile connections, an executive style desk and chair, voice messaging, hair dryer, bathrobes, iron/ironing board, TV/VCR/DVD, in-room safe and complimentary high speed Internet access.

The Parlor Suite can be reserved as either a one or two bedroom suite, and is approximately 900 sq. feet

Presidential & Spoleto Suite
Located on the 7th or 8th floor, on the private club level, this bay suite features an elegantly appointed living room, a wet bar, dining table, a pantry, an entertainment armoire, an Orient Express signature walk-in closet, full bath and one king bedded sleeping room.

This Suite is approximately 1200 sq.ft.

Club Level
A stay in The Club, located in the hotel's top two floors, will surround you with a range of pampering services. 

Club level amenities include all day complimentary beverage service, continental breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and after dinner cordials with desserts, all served in the comfort of the exclusive, private access two story club level lounge.

Palmetto Cafe
Relax in the sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere of the newly refurbished Palmetto Cafe where you will be enticed by our New-American cuisine prepared by Chef Drew Dzejak.

The Palmetto Cafe epitomizes the wonderful Charleston juxtaposition of lazy tranquillity with cosmopolitan glamour. This casual elegant restaurant overlooks a lush courtyard complete with circular bronze fountain and impeccably kept gardens.

The Thoroughbred Club
is open 11:00 am - 12:00 Midnight, 7 days a week.

Conveniently located adjacent the grand staircase, the Thoroughbred Club serves traditional afternoon tea from 1pm-4pm Monday through Saturday. Cocktails, tapas/appetizers and desserts are served 4pm-11pm, seven days a week. Live entertainment including piano and classical guitar is enjoyed seven nights per week. 

A perfect atmosphere for a bridal shower or an afternoon get together, the tea service at the Thoroughbred Club was voted "Best Tea in the South" by Southern Living Magazine. Our knowledgeable service staff serves the finest selection of imported teas from Harney and Sons and Taylor’s of Harrogate. From black teas to oolongs and tisanes, the tea service at Charleston Place is truly world class.

Charleston Grill
After its month-long remodel, the Charleston Grill opens its doors to the public Wednesday, March 7, 2007.   The nationally renowned iconic restaurant will introduce a brand new menu, live music by Quentin Baxter and an all-around lighter touch, while retaining the quality and integrity of the award-winning restaurant and Charleston Place Hotel.

In-room Dining

Dining or entertaining in the privacy of your room or at the spa is just a phone call away. We offer twenty-four hour service... breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks; catering for private parties in your suite; and picnic lunches for your excursions to the beach or countryside. For our guests the horizon-edged swimming pool is heated to allow year-round enjoyment. When the South Carolina weather allows, the glass roof retracts for fresh-air “outdoor” sunbathing in indoor comfort.

Swimming
Our indoor / outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable temperature year-round. The retractable roof assures our guests year-round swimming and sunbathing.
