Sundance Resort Accommodations

The quietude here contrasts sharply with the bustle found at most Utah ski resorts. We offer resort lodging that harmonizes with the mountain and forest and reflects the overriding values Sundance was built upon.

Each of our lodging units is uniquely appointed in a style that integrates with our mountain environment, including rough-hewn wood, warm tones and Native American accents.  Our in-room amenities are from the Sprout Out® Collection which showcases the exclusive Gilchrist & Soames Naturally Kind™ formulations.  These formulations are combined with certified organic extracts of rooibos, cardamom seed, yarrow and ginseng to gently care for skin and hair.

For your convenience, each unit is also equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access and I-pod/MP3 player docking stations.  King beds, sofa sleepers, and DVD players are available upon request.

Standards

Our Standard units are tucked away in the Mandan area of the Resort. At approximately 450 square feet, each offers a queen-sized bed, full private bathroom with separate vanity area and a coffee maker.

Sundance Suites

750 square foot suites with fireplaces, decks

Our Sundance Suites offer a comfortable bay-style floor plan. At approximately 700 square feet, each features a queen-sized bed, full private bathroom with separate vanity area, stone fireplace, deck or patio, kitchenette and a small sitting area.

Mountain Suites

Our Mountain Suites offer a large, generously equipped floor plan. With approximately 900 square feet, each features a queen-sized bed in a private master bedroom, full private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area, stone fireplace and a deck or patio.

Mountain Lofts

Our Mountain Lofts offer a large, generously equipped floor plan. With approximately 900 square feet, each features a queen or king-sized bed in a private master bedroom, full private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area, stone fireplace and a deck or patio. Each also offers a unique ladder-access loft with additional bedding above the living/kitchen area.

Mountain Homes

9 spacious 2, 3, 4, or 5-bedroom homes with unique features, such as hot tubs, multiple decks, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Our luxurious private Mountain Homes are scattered about the mountain
above the Resort. Each offers its own distinct floor plan and amenities.

Stewart Point

Take in the breathtaking views from this two-level home perched high on the mountain. The living room is warm and inviting with large picture windows that pull in the sunshine. The full kitchen and dining area share a large walk-around, wood-burning fireplace, plus there are two large decks. Two bedrooms feature kitchenettes and fireplaces while the master bedroom adjoins the hot tub room.

Balsam

Enter the spacious living room of this beautiful pinewood home and cozy up in front of the big stone fireplace to view the Sundance wilderness through the three-story-high picture windows. Three bedrooms and three and one-half bathrooms, a full kitchen and dining room, cozy "pillow loft," and secluded deck are just the beginning.

Tree room

At Sundance, dining is an art form. Recipient of the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond award and the Wine Spectator award, the Tree Room serves seasonal mountain cuisine. The atmosphere is romantic with candlelight and soft illumination accenting the Native American art from Robert Redford's private collection.

Group Dining

Group menus and seating accomodations are available for large parties.

Private Parties

The Tree Room is available for private party rentals. Price is dependent on the day, date, menu, set up, and whether lodging has been booked for the group.

Tasting Menu

A tasting menu can be prepared based on chef availability.

Foundry grill

The Foundry Grill was opened in July of 1996. The name is taken from the concept of the large foundry wall located in the main room. The word foundry also implies simplicity and a return to the fundamentals. The room, the service, and the menu are an extension of this idea. The Foundry Grill is committed to providing the freshest of vegetables and meats cooked to order. In warm weather, the patio opens for outside dining. Sundance believes in the preservation of our resources; all table centerpieces are created from recycled glass hand blown here at Sundance Resort.

Group Dining

For large parties of 14 or more, we offer a private room at two designated time slots: 5:15pm and 7:45pm. Each group has two hours use of the room and are required to order from the group menus.

If your group would like to rent our private room outside the designated times, a $250 room fee will be charged.*

Private Parties

The Foundry Grill is available for private party rentals. Price is dependent on the day, date, menu, set up, and whether lodging has been booked for the group.

Owl bar

The Sundance Owl Bar was moved to Sundance from Thermopolis, Wyoming. The restored 1890's bar is the original Rosewood Bar once frequented by Butch Cassidy's Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Enjoy live music on weekends

Deli

Enjoy the deli’s gourmet selection of sandwiches and wraps while sipping our special blend of Park City Roaster's coffee or a fun bottle of sarsparilla. We offer fresh pastries every morning. Stop in and pick up some trail mix and Pro-Bars for your hike up the mountainside or take some of our unique goodies for your mountain home.

Forgot your toothbrush? We also have select sundries behind the counter. If you're looking to take a little piece of Sundance home with you, try our homemade jams, soaps, caramels and suckers. We have gifts they'll remember for years to come.

Room Service

For your convenience, we offer room service from the deli menu. Wine and anything from the deli will be delivered by our bell staff with delivery fees.

Catering

Sundance has a full-service catering, conference and banquet department that is very knowledgeable in meeting, event and wedding planning to assist you with your tailored requests and needs.

Our Banquet Chefs create artistic menus of regional cuisine using quality fresh ingredients and local organic produce.  Sundance Resort is well known and celebrated for its culinary experiences. Select from our standard catering menus, or we can customize a menu for your event.
