The Greenbrier

The Greenbrier's excellence is perhaps most clearly defined by our fine dining. Regardless of venue or menu, every meal at The Greenbrier is a truly exquisite experience. Certified Master Chef Peter Timmins leads The Greenbrier's culinary brigade, whose culinary talents are sure to astound you.

Each of our restaurants features a signature menu and its own unique dining experience. Our impeccable wait staff ensures that guests' needs and expectations are surpassed. Evenings offer many exciting options, like the fun-filled sports bar Slammin' Sammy's and the conveniently located Lobby Bar. The combination of our praiseworthy staff and one-of-a-kind venues provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal, event or meeting.

The Main Dining Room
Since 1913, the elegant Main Dining Room is the essence of The Greenbrier dining experience. Its expansive ceiling is adorned with sparkling chandeliers. Stately columns and arched windows give it the ambiance of a dignified Southern mansion.

Certified Master Chef Peter Timmins preserves The Greenbrier’s culinary reputation with his classically inspired menu, which includes signature dishes created by our honored culinary staff. Breakfast, a gracious affair, is served a la carte. From fresh-squeezed juices to regional favorites, breakfast in the Main Dining Room is the perfect way to start your day.

The Dinner menu features a variety of classic American delights, including vegetarian options. Live piano and violin music accompany the meal. Reservations are required for dinner and may be made by calling 800-453-4858.

Dress
Breakfast: Casual attire, including collared sport shirts, sweaters, jackets, slacks and walking shorts.
Dinner: Jacket and tie for men and dresses or evening suits for women. Children 10 and older are required to wear attire similar to that of adults.

Menus
Beginning in mid June, The Main Dining Room will offer both an a la carte and tasting menu .  Please note, the dinner menus attached are sample menus and are subject to change nightly. 

Hemisphere
Hemisphere, an exquisite restaurant with a world tasting menu, debuted in the former Old White Lounge area July 24.  Hemisphere added a new dimension to The Greenbrier's culinary repertoire with globally influenced cuisine by Chef Michael Voltaggio.  The dining is an experience involving unique ingredients and flavor combinations designed for the adventurous palate.

Guests can choose from three tasting menus - either five or seven courses - with a vegetarian option.  For an intimate experience, guests may also select the eight-person chef's table or the
ten-person private dining room.

Draper's Café
Draper's Café offers a casual, relaxed atmosphere for lunch, afternoon snacks and delectable desserts. In season, Draper's serves a spectacular breakfast buffet and is the perfect spot for a casual dinner.

Inspired by the inimitable style of Dorothy Draper, her protégé, Carleton Varney, decorated the café, providing a bright and cheerful setting. In addition, the café can be used as an event venue.

Sam Snead's at The Golf Club
Sam Snead's at the Golf Club is open seasonally and offers a perfect blend of fine dining in a relaxed environment. Watch our chefs at work in our open kitchen with a wood-burning oven. Spectacular views of our three golf courses and majestic mountains, along with a variety of menu choices and unparalleled service enhance your dining experience.

Slammin' Sammy's
Our version of the sports lounge, Slammin' Sammy’s is a favorite night spot and features big screen TVs, billiard tables, shuffleboard, foosball and other games. Catch the latest score or simply unwind with friends. Slammin’ Sammy’s is open seasonally for light snacks and beverage service. Complimentary transportation is available to and from the Golf Club.

38°80
This exciting nightclub is The Greenbrier's newest entertainment venue, featuring handcrafted cocktail flights and world lounge music that evolves as the evening progresses. 38°80 offers a sultry, seductive feel in what was formerly The Tavern Room.

The Gourmet Shoppe
The Greenbrier's Gourmet Shoppe offers guests a chance to browse through our unique line of Greenbrier signature products including specialty coffees, salsas and jams. Guests also enjoy daily culinary demonstrations of The Greenbrier's favorite dishes. The Gourmet Shoppe carries the latest cooking tools and utensils, along with a vast selection of cookbooks.

Stop by the Gourmet Café, located inside the Gourmet Shoppe, to enjoy Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, fruit and other snacks. The Gourmet Shoppe is conveniently located directly across from the new Cyber Café.

Rhododendron Cafe
The Rhododendron Café features a menu of lighter-fare snacks, juices and smoothies. Located adjacent to the Indoor Pool, this café is the ideal spot for a light lunch or afternoon snack.

Lobby Bar
The Lobby Bar exemplifies the classic elegance that pervades our resort. This warm and friendly alcove is ideal for enjoying an aperitif or meeting friends for an after-dinner cocktail. Located adjacent to the Upper Lobby.

Tree Tops Cafe
Tree Tops Cafe, located at the Outdoor Pool, offers guests a casual lunch option surrounded by the perfect outdoor setting.

Room Service
Room service is a casual, yet elegant alternative offered 24 hours a day everyday at The Greenbrier. Our menus feature a wide selection of entrees to please even the most discriminating of tastes. Guests may also select from a variety of box lunches for hikes, golf and other outdoor excursions.
