Heilongjiang

Located in the northeast region, Harbin is the Capital City of this province. It is also the biggest city. The name in English means Black Dragon River. The Amur River separates Russia and the Heilongjiang Province.

This is a very mountainous province with the lumber, coal, gold and oil industry as the main sources of revenue. This is also Chinas largest virgin forest. The endangered Siberian Tiger lives in this region.

Numerous rivers originate here, with beautiful lakes and lovely scenery.

Tourism is growing here, but it is very hard get around if you don’t know what you are doing.
