Xining
There are six very important Monasteries in Xining. The Kumbum Monastery, sometimes called the Ta’er Monastery is one of the six monastaries for the Tibetan Buddhism religion.
The 603 year old Donguan Mosque and the Beishan Si is another popular attraction.
The are numerous natural attractions in Xining. The Sun and Moon Mountain, the Qinghai Lake and Bird Island. Bird Island is home to a multitude of birds.
On the 6th of the 6th month annually the have the Singing Festival with colorful clothing and fun attractions.
