Vancouver Island is a magnificent vacation destination with the popular city of Victoria and its picturesque harbor as a focal point. Williams Lake, BC is located in the Cariboo region. A local event called the Stampede is popular with visitors. Eastward are the rugged mountains and verdant valleys of Kootenay Country. To the north, Cariboo Country is home to vast ranch spreads, and wilderness parks where you might spot grizzly bears, mountain goats, caribou and eagles.
