Day 2: Cape Town | Mountain in the Sea
Today, spend the morning exploring Cape Town. Enjoy a drive through Tamboerskloof (Drummers,™ Ravine,) to Table Mountain where, weather permitting, you ascend to the top of the mountain by cable car. Continue through the streets of old Cape Town and view notable buildings that include Groote Kerk (the oldest church in southern Africa), City Hall and the Grand Parade. Take an easy walk through the tranquil, lush Company Gardens, where you discover the Houses of Parliament and National Art Gallery. Later, explore the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa. Return to your hotel to enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 3: Cape Town | Cape Point
Spend a full day discovering mountainous Cape Point at the edge of the continent. Journey past the bikini beaches, before the towering Twelve Apostles Mountains, cruising over famous Chapman,™s Peak Drive. Explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve with its rare endemic plant species and animals that include the Bontebok and Cape Mountain Zebra. At Cape Peninsula, ride the Flying Dutchman, funicular to the great pinnacle at Cape Point, which presides over treacherous reefs, sandy beaches and numerous shipwrecks below; in winter, you may also see Southern right whales. En route to lunch, discover the endangered African penguins that thrive in the shelter of Boulders Beach.

Days 4-6: Sabi Sands Game Reserve | Seeking the Big Five,
Fly via Nelspruit to Sabi Sands Game Reserve, where you find the privately owned Lion Sands Game Reserve and your lodge along the banks of the Sabie River. Spend the next two days at your private game reserve, which is the only one in South Africa to offer safari adventures in both the Sabi and Sand River ecosystems. Your daily schedule is determined by the habits of the animals you have come to see, including Africa,™s Big Five, (elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo and leopards). Embark on game drives in open Land Rovers and go on an extraordinary early-morning game walks with your ranger, where local wildlife, flora and fauna are more intimately revealed.

Day 7: Victoria Falls | The Smoke that Thunders
Today, fly to Livingstone, Zambia, and then transfer to your elegant colonial hotel in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your evening is at leisure to enjoy the property and accommodations.

Day 8: Victoria Falls | Zambezi River Cruise
Take a guided walking tour of spectacular Victoria Falls and explore the surrounding rainforest. See the cloud of spray where the mile-wide Upper Zambezi falls 300 feet into the lower Zambezi; this same mist can be seen from miles away. Later, take a leisurely sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River, looking for the hippos, elephants and buffalo that have come to drink at the water,™s edge.

Day 9: Depart Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg where you connect with your international flight. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, enjoy access to the Premier Lounge, compliments of A&K, before boarding your homebound flight.
