Almeria

Almeria is located in the south east of Spain on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The magnificent Alcazaba Castle is a huge fortress built in 13th century overlooking Almeria. There is an interesting cathedral that was originally constructed by the Muslims designed to protect the people from marauding pirates.

While here also check out the Chanca, a place where the houses are carved out of rocks. The Museum of Almeria is a great place to visit and learn about the historic past in this area. The Paseo de Coches is where the action is located, with restaurants, nightclubs, bars and lots of fun attractions.

It wouldn’t be right to tell you about Almiera without saying how nice the weather is here, especially in the winter. It’s simply blissful!
