Since its genesis, Casa Santo Domingo was the bastion of one of the grandest convents of America: the one that sheltered the followers of the order of Santo Domingo de Guzman. It is an important part of the beautiful colonial reliquary that preserves in its bowels the treasures from the baroque period of ancestral America. Each corner of this house, each stone, each image and each piece that composes this Hotel Museum becomes a lost page in time, which one by one is joined forming a beautiful chapter of the grand book of our history. This innovative Hotel-Museum offers 128 rooms each with unique and special characteristics. The decoration includes works of art from renowned Guatemalan fine art artists and handmade textiles with traditional-contemporary designs. Offering the finest, we provide TV LCD with cable, telephone with voicemail, minibar, safety deposit box, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, magnification lighted vanity mirror, hypo-allergenic pillows (on request), bathrobes, twice-daily housekeeping service, chimney, high velocity internet, terrace, balcony, tub, jacuzzi or sauna (depending on selected room type). In our main restaurant “Refectorio del Prior” we prepare recipes under the concept of fusion cuisine,, mixing ingredients from different countries and regions. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. “Tenedor del Cerro” is our second restaurant surrounded by nature, art and culture and we offer a menu of grill, pasta and pizza specialties. At our Bar “El Cabildo” you will be able to enjoy your favorite drink in an elegant and comfortable setting.
