Black River Gorges
Black River Gorges national park consist of 6,574 hectares and was established in 1994 in order to protect Mauritius’ remaining native forests. Guest can enjoy the magnificent landscapes, with native plants and exotic birds. A trail leads from the PÃ©trin information center to the area of local plant life and to a conservation area.

Ganga Talao – Grand Bassin
Beyond La Marie and Mare-aux-Vacoas is one of natural lakes of Mauritius. It rests inside the crater of an extinct volcano. Ganga Talao is an important pilgrimage site and many Mauritians of the Hindu faith visit the site during the Maha Shivaratri festival or the night fasting dedicated to Shiva.
