The Triolet Shivala
Triolet offers an opportunity to visit the largest Hindu temple, the Maheswarnath, built in 1819 in honour of the Gods Shiva, Krishna, Vishnu, Muruga, Brahma and Ganesha.
The Labourdonnais Orchards
Explore a large variety of tropical fruit trees, brightly colored and exoticly scented flowers. Mountain bikes or hiking are possible.
Grand Bay
Grand Bay was the first area to become a tourist destination. With extensive shopping and leisure oppotunities, Grand Bay is also the nightlife capital of the island offering a fun-filled night out (restaurants, bars and discos). La Cuvette beach is well worth a visit.
Pereybere
Pereybere is a wonderful public beach popular because of its boutiques, restaurants and bars.
Balaclava Ruins
A short distance away from Baie aux Tortues, which 17th century sailors named after the many turtles in the area, are the ruins of the old Balaclava estate. Visitors are able to view the sea walls, whose initial foundations were laid down by Mahé de Labourdonnais.
