Hyatt Regency Hakone Resort and Spa

The hotel is located in Gora, Japan, an area famous for its natural hot springs (onsens). Hakone is a resort region in the Kanagawa prefecture in the central region of Honshu. Our hotel in Hakone is just one and a half hours’ drive west of Tokyo, and a two and a half-hour bullet train journey east of Osaka. Our Hakone hotel attracts both leisure and business retreat travelers who are looking for a natural experience in the green foothills of the Fuji Hakone Izu National Park within a short distance from the city.

Accommodations

The hotel has 80 guestrooms and suites.  Guestrooms feature a work area with Internet access and a large bathroom with heater and separate wet area. Contemporary design and dark wood furnishings add to luxurious amenities, including a furnished balcony or sun terrace, and the latest technology such as a flat-screen TV with DVD player.

Dining & Entertainment

Dining Room – A provincial restaurant with open kitchen and relaxing mountain views, serving authentic French and Japanese cuisine crafted with ingredients from the Hakone region and Sagami Bay. Operating for breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily set menu and a la carte selections.

Living Room – Relax around the open log fireplace in winter or enjoy the outdoor courtyard in the warmer months. Living Room offers a wide selection of coffee and tea, sweet and savoury snacks, afternoon tea, light meals and evening drinks.  Bar – an intimate bar offering a premium selection of whisky, cognac, brandy and cocktails.

Here, just an hour-and-a-half’s drive from Tokyo, spa enthusiasts have access to eight luxury treatment rooms, walk-in mist saunas and showers. An unique menu of treatments uses the resort’s own vegetable and fruit oils made from avocado, raspberry and blueberry extracts, among other local ingredients. And, of course, there are two thermal hot springs baths (onsens). Wander around Lake Ashi, where you’ll find the Hakone-Jinja shrine and you can pick up traditional charms or a fortune card.
