The Experience

The Goring Hotel

London’s Quintessentially English Luxury Hotel

Having been lovingly refurbished, primped and preened and with a highly talented new chef busy in the kitchen, The Goring has entered a new era. See the hotel in all its glory in our latest films.

A Century in the Making
For over one hundred years, The Goring family has operated this much-loved hotel. Four generations have stood at the helm making the property unique as London’s last remaining family-owned luxury hotel. The property also stands apart as the only Relais & Châteaux hotel in London.

Quintessentially English
At The Goring the focus is on the best of British. From the hand-crafted, bespoke furniture to the Gainsborough silk-lined walls, the hotel is proud to work with the best craftsmen.

By Royal Appointment
The Goring has enjoyed close relations with the Royal Family over the years. In 2013 the hotel was delighted to be granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen, the only one in the world.

A Good Night’s Sleep
The hotel has 69 bedrooms and suites located over five floors. Each room is individually decorated with sumptuous fabrics and furnishings, all designed to offer supreme comfort.

The rooms range over five categories;
Delightful Queen-bedded Rooms
Delightful King-bedded Rooms
Deluxe King-bedded Rooms
Splendid Rooms
Most Splendid Rooms

The hotel’s suites offer true indulgence. Guests can choose between Junior Suites and Belgravia One and Two-bedroom Suites.

The jewel in the crown is The Royal Suite – an exceptional suite with two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The glorious suite spans the length of the building and has a balcony overlooking The Goring Gardens.

Families love The Goring and can choose to stay in connecting rooms or a two-bedroom suite.

The Perfect Location
Nestled in Belgravia, The Goring is proud to be the closest hotel to Buckingham Palace. This fantastic London location offers guests easy access to Knightsbridge, Mayfair and more – perfect for shopping and theatre, work and play. The biggest surprise in this central London location is The Goring Gardens – one of the largest private gardens in the capital.

Big John, the Concierge has over twenty years service at the Goring and will respond to every request with insight and expertise. Guests also enjoy free membership of the superbly equipped local health club – just a short stroll away – throughout their stay.

A Touch of Now
Although The Goring has a time-honoured style and traditional service standards, the hotel is up-to-speed with 21st century technology such as complimentary WiFi throughout and a 24-hour business suite.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry
The Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Executive Chef Shay Cooper’s menu of refined British food is attracting interest on the London restaurant scene. The Bar & Lounge are popular with guests and locals drawn in by the award-winning afternoon tea and the irresistible cocktail list.

A Sense of Fun
Beneath the five-star exterior of The Goring is a serious streak of fun. Classic British eccentricity pervades, from an “Ooh!” light setting in each bedroom to the fluffy sheep footstools for putting your feet up.

Above all, The Goring reflects one family’s passion for quality. All four Gorings have prided themselves on providing luxurious comfort, delicous food and most importantly, warm, friendly and professional service So what makes The Goring different. • The only luxury hotel in London that is still owned and run by the family that built it • The only hotel to hold a Royal Warrant of appointment to HM The Queen for Hospitality Services. • Located deep in Belgravia and within easy striking distance of Knightsbridge, Mayfair, the best shops, Royal parks and theatres • The hotel’s interiors have been completely refreshed by some of the country’s finest designers. • The Royal Suite with wonderful English interiors and a balcony which runs the entire length of the top floor, with large French windows opening up onto fantastic views over The Goring’s private garden. • The Goring’s service – The hotel was named Hotel of the Year in 2010 by Virtuoso. The Goring employs 170 staff (2.5 staff per guest room) • The Goring Garden is larger than Centre Court at Wimbledon and the largest hotel garden in Central London, with a full-time gardener. • The sophisticated elegance of the David Linley designed Dining Room which is part of the London dining scene and loved by our guests But ultimately everything stops for our award winning Afternoon Tea, served on the light-flooded Terrace, overlooking the garden
In the Royal Suite – one of the shower’s is big enough for six and features a near life size portrait of HM Queen Victoria.
