Luxury is personal at Park Hyatt New York.  Designed by world-renowned, Pritzker Prize-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, as well as interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg, guests enter an uncommon space where sophisticated and enriching experiences are in store.  Situated in the heart of midtown, Park Hyatt New York, will be located at 157 West 57th street between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue, across from Carnegie Hall and two blocks from Central Park.

Slated for completion in mid-2014, the hotel will feature 210 generously sized guest rooms including 92 suites.  Its guest rooms are among the largest in the city, starting from 475 square feet or 44 square meters.   The hotel will be part of a 90-story mixed-use tower that will also feature 94 Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed luxury condominiums with breathtaking views of Central Park and the New York skyline.

The world-class hotel will reflect Park Hyatt’s intimate and modern elegance, providing an ideal place to stay for discerning business and leisure travelers. Entering the rooms or public spaces, a visitor recognizes the artistic codes of mid-century-modern New York, but updated in a timeless welcome. Says Glenn Pushelberg, “the room design is modern in its architectural bones, but with a slight nod to the past. The mix of furniture and furnishings suggests an eclectic and residential mood which transcends strict modernity.”

Beyond featuring museum-quality artwork, timeless designs and refined furnishings, a spectacular culinary experience and the most luxurious spa treatments will be sure to impress even the most experienced local New Yorker.  

The signature restaurant, The Back Room at One57, features an American Grille concept as well as The Living Room lobby lounge and bar.  The Back Room at One57 seats 96 while The Living Room is more intimate, featuring a bar that overlooks the historic Carnegie Hall.

The hotel’s spa, Nalai, an atelier spa is made up of six all-inclusive treatment suites, as well as private outdoor balconies.  The menu, which changes seasonally, offers international treatments that incorporate ingredients sourced from around the world.  The treatments can be tailored to travelers’ specific needs, from soothing minor ailments, to medical-grade services. For leisure, guests can retreat into the tranquil sanctuary of the hotel spa and indulge in a selection of body treatments and massages.  Alternatively, guests can visit the hotel fitness center or the 20-meter indoor swimming pool in a three-story aerie at the top of the hotel, located on the 20th floor.

In addition to the recreational outlets in the hotel, Park Hyatt will have over 8,000 square feet / 735 square meters of stunning residential-style event space including a world class grand ballroom, a 1,050 square foot or 98 square meters outdoor terrace, a first class  show kitchen, three break-out rooms and a state-of-the-art boardroom.   All meeting space will be equipped with the latest in technology and perfectly suited for presentations, exhibitions, social events, and cultural celebrations.
