Canterbury

Canterbury is beautiful region of New Zealand on the South Island that is blessed with extraordinary mountain views of the Southern Alps. The Waitaki and the Conway rivers contribute to attractions here.

Christchurch is an important tourism attraction with numerous historical buildings. A lot of the historical buildings were damaged or destroyed in the 2011 earthquake. Its still a lovely city to visit and the locals are proud and friendly folks always free to chat with you.

There are lots of bike paths and trails in Christchurch as well as the surrounding region with a vast amount of scenic opportunities, from the ocean, the plains all the way to the Southern Alps.

This is a must see vacation in New Zeland you’ll remember fondly.
