At the far end of Waikiki Beach, away from all the high-rises, is The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, on one of the sweetest little beaches in the islands. Within walking distance of the action, it seems a world away from the noise and the crowds.
Most of Waikiki reminds us of Manhattan with 10 feet of sand attached, but The New Otani Kaimana is a surprising exception. Located at the eastern end of Waikiki, at the foot of Diamond Head, the 125-room hotel sits on one of the best beaches in the area. Robert Louis Stevenson used to come to this spot years ago; if he were alive today this is the only place for miles he’d want to come back to.
