Day 2: Warsaw/Lazienki Park
Today, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Warsaw with your local guide and private vehicle. The beginning of Warsaw’s story can be found throughout the Old Town, with its Gothic churches, defensive walls and fairy tale facades of Renaissance and Baroque tenement houses. It is a tragedy that the Nazis destroyed Warsaw’s city charter, a magnificent historical document, but the Old Town complex was painstakingly reconstructed after the war. Continue to the Royal Castle, the symbol of Polish statehood, and the 14th century cathedral of Saint John. Afterward, follow the Royal Route from Castle Square to 180-acre Lazienki Park. See the Chopin Monument and visit the magnificent neoclassical Lazienki Palace, the summer residence of the last Polish king, Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The palace was faithfully reconstructed after the war and now houses fine 18th-century furnishings.

Day 3: Wilanow Palace and Gardens
Meet with your local guide and private vehicle for a half-day sightseeing tour of the Wilanow Palace and Gardens, located south of the city at the end of the “Royal Route.” Since 1677 the residence has been owned by several noble Polish families such as Sieniawska, Czartoryski, King August II, Lubomirska, Potocki and Branicki. After your tour, return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. We suggest a short excursion to the Warsaw University Library which, along with quaint shops and cafés on the ground floor, houses one of the most beautiful rooftop gardens in Europe; the views of the Vistula River and the Swietokrzyski Bridge are unforgettable.
