The Lau Island Group, east of Suva, consist of 57 islands in the Koro Sea, that lie smack dab in the middle of Fiji and Tonga. This group of Fiji islands isway off to the east of of Viti Levu.
The Lau Islands are the most isolated of the Fijian islands with little tourism development. Tonga has a strong influence in the Lau Group and the natives are a mix of Fijian and Tongan. A back-to-nature experience is available for the most adventurous.
Tourism in these islands is only available by boat.
