The Alpaga
A renowned 5-star hotel in Megève, has 22 rooms, 4 suite apartments, 5 chalets, a lounge, a restaurant “La Table de l’Alpaga” and a fantastic spa with a pool, two treatment rooms and a gym. Only 5 minutes by carriage from the heart of the village opposite Mont-Blanc, the Alpaga is blessed by nature. On three floors, the three wooden chalets blend perfectly with their natural surroundings. Large patios and balconies offer fabulous views of the Megève area: traditional shingle rooftops, wooden eaves and wooden balconies.
The Alpaga is in the heart of the Alps. At 1,100 metres altitude, the Route de Prariand is the only place to enjoy breathtaking views of Mont-Blanc. The Alpaga radiates in the heights of Megève. All the rooms, suite apartments, chalets and Collection rooms offer a wonderful environment at the heart of the resort. Whatever the season, you will enjoy the sun’s rays on the immaculate snow topping Mont-Blanc. Truly astonishing scenery !
ACCOMMODATIONS
The Alpaga has 22 rooms decorated in a contemporary style with views of the surrounding mountains. The textures and materials combine to provide the comfort and warmth of a traditional chalet: sanded wood, stone, flannel and wool, cashmere and wool for rugs and carpets, plaids and fake furs…
The rooms are cosseted in two chalets. The large French windows open onto the mountains or mountain pastures providing access to balconies and patios. They appear to invite the surrounding landscape into the room.
The suite apartments are in the Gaspard Chalet, so named as a tribute to the resort’s famous mountain guide. The chalet has five independent apartments, and the space is adaptable to the families staying there. The design of the Alpaga chalets is reflected in their architecture.
Covering 250m², the Alpaga chalets have been designed in the purest Megève tradition. They can cater for up to 12 people on 3 floors with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Each chalet has modern living areas and boasts faultless décor, with views of the Megève landscape: traditional shingle rooftop, wooden eaves and wooden balconies, wooden fireplace topped with sheet iron. Three garages one of which is heated, and a private garden are alongside the chalet. The large patios invite guests to enjoy the sunshine as they admire Mont-Blanc.
DINING
La Table de l’Alpaga offers gourmet cuisine in delicious surroundings, One star Michelin Guide 2014. Our house boasts a “bistronomic” cuisine that is varied and tasty with many local products as well as others from further afield, for an exotic culinary journey. In terms of décor, the dining room has a contemporary style. Wood, glass and stone are all present, giving the room its own brand of elegance and warmth. The restaurant has 40 covers and opens onto a magnificent landscaped patio from where you can admire Mont-Blanc.
The Alpaga also has a cosy Lounge bar l’ONYX, the perfect place for resting and relaxing in the afternoon, enjoying a pre-dinner drink or local digestif. As soon as the night draws in, the atmosphere changes with discreet lounge music and low lighting. The barman’s expert hand and creative spirit will satisfy even the most explicit requests.
Private chef service. Would you like to have a lunch or dinner cooked by a head chef? Alpaga and its hotel can provide a completely private service in one of our chalets. You can discover the savoir-faire of our Chef, Christophe SCHUFFENECKER. He would be delighted to share all his secrets with you.
La Colline SPA
For your relaxation, take a dip in our large swimming pool with its fountains and massage jets. Its zen stone décor guarantees tranquillity and relaxation. Finish your relaxation session in the steam room. This steam bath gently opens the pores and cleanses with steam. Sit on the benches and enjoy the hot temperature as it soothes and untenses your muscles, removing any aches ready for a peaceful night’s sleep. After a steam bath, we recommend a warm to cool shower and a massage with essential oils.
Our “Alpaga” spa offers moments of pure relaxation to recharge your batteries and treat yourself. Comfort Zone is famed for its formulas at the cutting edge of research. The pool, gym and steam room offer relaxation and pleasure. The range of massages has something for everyone and suggests a divine programme: hot stone massage for the optimum in relaxation, Swedish massage to forget the deepest muscular aches and pains, prestige massage for well-being from head to toe, and of course Shiatsu, reflexology and Thai massage.
