This adventure allows one to witness the fantastic and unusual wildlife of Madagascar, eighty percent of which is found nowhere else on earth. Isolated for 65 million years, its flora and fauna have evolved in isolation, resulting in over 200,000 endemic species.

Of Afro-Asian ancestry, the Malagasy people speak many different dialects of Malagasy, and French is also widely spoken. English is spoken among guides and hotel staff.

The diverse and spectacular scenery varies from lush forest and arid lowland to sequestered coastline, primitive rock formations and epic baobabs. An ever-growing number of lemurs, from ring-tailed to mouse lemurs, can be found throughout these areas.

Day 1

Arrive Antananarivo, Hotel Palissandre.

Day 2

Drive to Vakona Forest Lodge.

Day 3

Walks in Perinet/Andasibe and Mantadia National Park, Vakona Forest Lodge.

Day 4

Drive to Antananarivo and fly to Ft. Dauphin, transfer to MCC Mandrare River Camp.

Days 5-6

Visit Lake Anony dunes, walks in spiny and deciduous forests, MCC Mandrare River Camp.

Day 7

Transfer to Ft. Dauphin, fly to Antananarivo, transfer to Tarajava or Pavillon de l’Emyrne.

Day 8

Fly to Anjajavy.

Days 9-11

Nature walks and water activities, Anjajavy.

Day 12

Fly to Antananarivo and depart Madagascar.
